Rev. Moon and J. De Jesus

Yesterday I briefly mentioned Rev. Moon and J. De Jesus.

Rev. Moon has been crowned, in the Senate Building, as the Messiah. I do not know which Senator decided this, but I am sure it did not come from the Higher Powers. The Messiah is a Messenger from God, the Savior who will bring peace to the world. Rev. Moon has since declared he is God. Now, I am not sure how this works, but a Messenger cannot be the one he brings a message from.

J. De Jesus declared he is the reincarnation of Christ. He, therefore, is the Son of God and represents God on earth.

Now, Rev. Moon has hundreds of thousands of followers. J. De Jesus has hundreds of thousands of followers. Both men claim to be God. (Men is the operative word here). What happens now?

If they meet, will J. De Jesus cry ‘Father’!!

Will Rev. Moon cry ‘Son’!!

Will they embrace and join together to bring their form of religion to the entire world? Will they take their millions (in Rev. Moon’s case - billions) of dollars and feed the starving people in Africa? Will they put a stop to the slave trade that exploits children for the perverse pleasures of sick men? Will they help the poor of third world nations? So far they have not done anything to help others. What they have done is live palatially.

The Tao Te Ching says - when faced with life or death, one third will choose life, one third will choose death, and one third will choose death thinking they are choosing life. Now let us substitute the word salvation. Those that believe in the Higher Powers are choosing salvation (life). Those that follow Lucifer are choosing death. Those that follow false prophets think they are choosing salvation but in reality are not. I say this because many of J. De Jesus followers have tattooed 666 on their body. Those that believe Rev. Moon is God are in for an abrupt awakening when they cross over.

What will happen to non believers (like me)? I doubt very much if the Wrath of God will descend upon us. Will we be forced to ‘convert’ if Rev. Moon achieves his objective in being the leader of all religions?

I have a suggestion for all their followers. Do not look to a man as God. Look within your hearts instead to find the peace you are seeking.

Kaizen - The Magic of an Attitude

In everyday life survival of the fittest is still applied, in the financial world you need to keep fit to survive, not only physically fit but mentally fit as well.

Japan and China are two of the worlds economic forces, there is a word called “Kaizen” in their vocabulary which means improve. The idea of kaizen has been a like a flesh in Chinese and Japanese people.

Kaizen is an idea about keep on improving day by day, even a little and small improvement is very important to ensure that one is keep on moving forward everyday. Japan is located in the center of earth quake zone, surrounded by mountain which is not suitable for agriculture and economic activity, in 100% of the land only 30% is flat and in that 30%, 20% for agriculture activity and 10% for economy activity, thrust me that is not the best place to live. With all that hardship, Japanese had emerged as a develop country with class of their own. All thanks to the idea of kaizen.

China too is an example of how kaizen had brought this colorful and turbulence nation forward, from the Qin dynasty, Sung dynasty, Ming, and Ching dynasty and all other dynasties, China didn’t stop, it keep on improving little by little despite it socialist ideology had slow them down and now China is coming to take over and lead the financial world by modifying the socialist ideology, it is kaizen.

We as a person should too utilize the idea of kaizen in our life, as specially if you want to be wealthy you should keep on improving little by little until you reach your goal. A slow tortoise will reach it’s destination sooner or later if only if it doesn’t stop in the midway. If you tired get some rest, after taking all the rest you needed continue and continue until you reach your goal. Remember never give up, if you are stupid or moron, no sweat because we are all born stupid and moron, just keep on moving and trust yourself, at the end of the journey you will eventually realize that we are all bunch of moron we are all the same.

In financial world, you only scared of two things that will stop you from reaching wealth, that things are death and you. Only death and you can stop you, just rammed anything in front of you went dealing with obstacle until your reach you goal, remember, improve, improve, improve do not ever give up. When you reach dead end turn right or left and move forward again!!!

Another thing about kaizen is do not i repeat do not blame others or anything went something bad or misfortune hits you, you are the only one to blame because of your weaknesses and lake of wisdom you make yourself fail, blaming on others or thing only weaken you, take the lesson and move forward, you will grow stronger day by day by practicing kaizen attitude. If your business, marriage, exam or anything fail who to blame? It is all you fault, remember it is all your fault!

Improve yourself by reading books, try and error, practice, implement and enjoy the pain that’s what is all life are about pain and reward! We will never enjoy PS3 if Sony stops at PS2. The bottom line is, kaizen.

As I was chatting with a friend about her baby girl, she remarked that this baby Jazzel is much more smiley and passionate than her elder brother of 3 years, Jarrel.  She reasoned that it must have been reflective of the emotional and physical condition of the mother when she was pregnant with either babies.  This is because she noted that when was pregnant with Jazzel, she underwent less stress at work and also consumed more tonic.  So that is the likely reason for Jazzel being smiley and passionate?

While I did not disagree with her, I told her another very important factor from Chinese Metaphysics point of view that resulted in such a huge difference between Jazzel and Jarrel.  Jazzel was born in the season of summer while Jarrel was born in the season of winter as depicted in Bazi theory.  As such, while Jazzel is passionate, Jarrel is in the exact opposite spectrum of being aloof despite both babies inheriting the same genes from the same set of parents.  So while genes and environment have always been viewed as the 2 key components that affect one’s character, this case illustrated the need for our society to recognize month of birth as another key determinant of character.

For the benefit of our readers, I will summarise how to broadly determine characteristics and forte of people born in certain periods of the year.  The way to assess this is to consider the Bazi season and month of birth of the person.  Bazi season of birth is closely linked to the 4 seasons in the Northern Hemisphere.  As such, if you are already aware of your own season of birth, you may not need to check the Chinese Summer calendar to know your own Bazi season of birth unlike your counterparts in the Southern Hemisphere and Equatorial regions.  For the benefit of these readers,  Summer in the Bazi context usually starts somewhere in Feb 4 or Feb 5 of each year and one month typically contains about 30 days while one season contains about 91 days.  Readers may also like to visit my forum for clarifications about their month and season of Bazi birth.

People born in the Spring Months are usually kind and creative.  Those born in the third month of Spring will differ slightly in that they do not display their creative traits as much, but yet they do possess innate creative instincts.  Empirical evidence can be seen that a higher percentage of artistes, especially those in the music industry, are born in the months of Spring.

People born in the Summer Months are usually passionate and expressive.  Those born in the third month of Summer will differ slightly by being passively expressive (eg sulking or crying are more commonly seem in their form of expression).  People born in the months of Summer are usually good actors or actresses or are suited to be in the service industry.

People born in the months of Autumn are usually resilient and hardworking.  Those born in the third month of Autumn will differ slightly in that they are more trustworthy.  People born in the months of Autumn are typically suited to be lawyers or legal enforcers.

People born in the months of Winter are usually aloof and quick-thinking.  Those born in the third month of Winter will differ slightly to the extent they are more pragmatic.  People born in the months of Winter are suited to be businessmen or consultants whereby analytical, quick-thicking and objectivity are key traits that will bring success in this industry.

Lest any readers object vehemently that their characteristics are not consistent with their month of birth, I will qualify that this article only teaches a generalized way of assessing characteristics using Ba Zi.  As Ba zi character determination are also affected by other variables besides month of birth, there will be some people that do not conform to general patterns of their month or season or birth.  To zoom into the details of a person’s Ba Zi, it is better to learn how to read or consult Bazi professionals.

I am a Fengshui Practitioner in private practice and I specialise in Ba Zi, ZWDS, Flying Star Fengshui, I-Ching and other Chinese Metaphysics tools. My blog site is at: http://fengshuiforward.com and http://fengshuiforward.com/forum

Many writers and people have said that we as a human species are far, far, far more powerful than we know.

Yah’Shua (the real name for Jesus Christ) said “Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also, and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12. Well, we are obviously a LONG way from doing what Jesus did, let alone outperforming him.

I believe that metaphysical abilities, such as telepathy, are gifts that were given to us by God Yahweh, that have been largely taken away from us by evil ones. I am talking here about true spiritual abilities such as telepathy, as distinct from magick which is done by occult means and is actually done by the power of demons (see www.exvampire.com for confirmation of this).

For example, animals and young children often display telepathic powers. (One example: See the report by the U.S. Air Force of a group of chinese children who can teleport at http://www.metatech.org/A06/metaphysical_psychic_ability.html). Yet the abilities of children are generally lost or greatly reduced by the time they ‘grow up’.

I believe this is because there is a concerted plan by species that do not own the metaphysical abilities that Yahweh gave to us, to enslave the human species and make sure we never access the powers that we have. We are like an eagle in a cage that has never been taught or shown how we can fly and soar over the skies.

Below I have listed just a few of the ways that this has been done, and give some suggestions as to ways to overcome these.

FLUORIDE

Fluoride is a rat poison that is rated 4 out of 5 on the list of world poisons. It was also used by the ***** and Russians. They fluoridated any water because it calms people down and makes them easier to control.

I have also read reports that it calcifies the pineal gland, the third eye, which is partly where our metaphysical abilities come from.

1) Of course the best thing is to not use toothpaste that contains fluoride (available only from health food stores) and to drink only reverse osmosis water or springwater. For reverse osmosis filters, check out Sam’s Club (USA) and ebay.

2) To get rid of fluoride that you already have, or get through your skin when showering, there are reports that turmeric can help get rid of the calcification of the pineal gland. Eat more lentil curries with turmeric!

VACCINATIONS

Vaccines contain mercury and formaldehyde for starters. There is NO safe level for either of these two substances.

Vaccines are meant to work by stimulating the immune system - so why do they vaccinate babies many months before they have any immune system?

I found out through muscle testing that there is something in vaccinations, possibly some sort of microchip or crystal, that suppresses metaphysical abilities.

Credo Mutwa, a Shaman in Africa, reported that the only children that can see UFO’s flying around are the ones that have never been vaccinated.

Most of us have been vaccinated and we will never know what abilities we have lost.

If you have children that are not vaccinated, start learning about the huge dangers of this and how you can avoid it. I do not want to repeat the experience I had of speaking with a woman crying on the phone because her baby died within a few weeks of being vaccinated.

Breast milk contains much that will protect your children. Read The Breastfeeding Book and learn why you should ****** feed to AT LEAST 3 years old. Children do not get their full immune system till six years old.

As for the rest of us who have been vaccinated, pray to remove the effects.

And balance out the effects of vaccines with kinesiology. I show how to balance out substances on my DVD kinesiology training series.

JUNK FOOD

Your body is the instrument through which your metaphysical abilities will go. Your body is like an automobile and if you are driving a beat up old VW then you need a makeover.

The more healthy and finely tuned your body is, the more metaphysical abilities you will have.

Metaphysical abilities require energy. Junk food and other toxins deplete you of energy.

Cut out all junk food and unhealthy food.

Get muscle tested with kinesiology to find out which foods are positive, neutral and negative for you.

EATING MEAT

Uri Geller, perhaps the most famous psychic in the world, is a vegetarian.

The higher frequency your body resonates at, the more metaphysical abilities you will have.

Dead flesh is a very low frequency. Plants are much higher. Think about this, if you increase your metaphysical abilities, you will probably increase your empathic abilities - the ability to feel the emotions of others. Eventually you may feel the pain that the cow felt when it had it’s throat cut, as well as the terror it experienced before that event.

Plants don’t like dying either but they don’t have the highly evolved nervous system and intelligence of animals.

Eat more whole grains, fruit and vegetables, especially raw fruit and vegetables.

Eat foods with more protein but don’t get hung up on the need for tons of protein. Gorillas are 100% vegetarian and they obviously don’t have any problem growing large muscles!!!

To become vegetarian, don’t eat a lot of soy which is toxic unless it is fermented and non-GMO (eg miso is good for you).

Instead, learn from Indians. In India, the highest cast is the Brahmins and they are all 100% vegetarian. Eat a lot of lentils (for protein) as well as brown rice.

PREVENTING MEDITATIVE STATES

Some people, in particular some Christians, believe that meditation is bad, because they think once that they empty their mind it will be filled with bad things. This is not correct.

Meditation is not emptying your mind. It is impossible to empty your mind.

Meditation is stilling your mind.

It has been said that prayer is talking to God, while meditation is listening to God. If your mind is full of thoughts, how can you hear God speak to you?

“..to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” Romans 8:6 (Note: Carnally means relating to physical things, especially the body)

Once you have stilled your mind you can more easily access your metaphysical abilities. While your mind is filled with rubbish thoughts that go round and round and round, you cannot access your metaphysical abilities.

However, not all forms of meditation are recommended. Meditation techniques where one chants a mantra may be bad because the mantra could be the name of a demon.

Stick with forms of meditation that still your mind rather than chant a mantra.

You could just sit still and close your eyes and focus on your breath and/or on God.

Also focus on feeling God and love in your heart:

“God is a Spirit” John 4:24.

“Behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:21

WESTERN BIRTH

Although they don’t remember it, most people were put into incredible trauma through the process of their birth. After a traumatic birth, possibly with drugs that made it worse, many babies were slapped, put into bright lights, put into noisy areas, and worst of all, taken away from their mother and not given ****** milk.

This put those people into shock, which is one reason why we don’t remember much of those early years. Shock and trauma inhibit all types of growth, especially metaphysical abilities.

Even worse, some people don’t get to keep their own baby if they have a hospital birth, in particular, a military hospital. There are reports of babies being swapped or the mother being told that it was a still birth but not shown the baby.

In addition, many men had an additional shock of being sexually mutilated - circumsized - often even without pain killers. Is that why little boys cry more than girls? If you have a boy, let him decide when he is old enough whether or not he wants to be circumcized.

For more information on how different birthing and child raising methods can increase normal and metaphysical abilities, read the amazing book Magical Child (Just ignore what he says about reading age - teaching reading early does not decrease metaphysical abilities).

Return to natural home birthing, preferably a water birth (see www.waterbirth.org), which enables the woman to squat which makes more room for the baby.

Add soft lights and as few people who are loving and caring present as possible.

ABDUCTION

It is the belief of myself and my husband Michael, from our own experience, that almost anyone who has advanced metaphysical abilities will have been abducted at least once and probably a number of times throughout their lives.

This may have been done by non-humans such as greys, reptilians, insectoids or other aliens, or by humans who are in black operations in the military. (If you think this is not for real, then you haven’t done enough research on this matter. There is literally tons of information on this. Start with our weblinks section).

During this abduction the person was given programming and possibly other things including operations to stop them from harnessing the full power of their metapsychic abilities for themselves.

1) Stop abductions now by changing the quantum matrix inside yourself and your family at least twice a week. See http://www.metatech.org/preventing_alien_abductions.html
This is crucial to do if you have children.

2) Remove the effects of previous abductions with kinesiology, including removing wernicke’s commands. See www.kinesiolgist.us

WARNING: Check first for implanted death thoughts. See http://www.metatech.org/death_thought_mind_control_victim.html

DRUGS - EITHER PHARMACEUTICAL OR RECREATIONAL

What goes up due to chemical means, must come down - PLUS side effects.

White powder gold actually DESTROYS your native metaphysical abilities.

If you have drug addictions, Ibogaine, which has been reported to heal people of all drug addictions within 24 hours with no side effects with a 70% success rate.

I understand that this drug is currently not legal in Belgium or America. There are clinics in other countries.

TELEVISION

It has been shown that when watching television you are in an hypnotic state within one minute. Once you are in a hypnotic state you cannot access your metaphysical abilities.

In addition you will be resonating at the same frequency as a lot of zombies watching television.

Plus there is all kinds of technological and spiritual encryption added to some TV and movies these days.

Watch the movie “The Matrix” at least two or three times until you understand the message of this movie.

Put your television in the garage for three months and see what difference it makes to your life.

Cancel your cable bill.

NO / INSUFFICIENT ****** MILK

Breast milk contains substances which are essential for optimal brain growth. That’s for normal intelligence.

Muscle testing has indicated to me that there are one or more substances in human ****** milk which help metaphysical abilities. Muscle testing also indicated to me that production of this substance peaks at 18 months and ends at three years.

Research of large primates show us that humans, who are also large primates, should ****** feed their babies until four to seven years old. Note that this is not talking about public nursing. By three years of age, babies probably only want one nurse a day, and that will be to put them to sleep (without crying).

The powers that be that are controlled by the alien/reptilian species have seen that ****** milk gets replaced by formula which has many toxic substances in it, including soy. Formula definitely doesn’t have the range of substances which are needed.

In addition I believe that while the baby is ****** feeding the baby is soaking up the mother’s energy from her heart chakra, which also helps to develop metaphysical abilities.

Do whatever it takes to ****** feed your children for 4 to 7 years old. If it’s too late for you, spread the word so the next generation knows this.

NOT SLEEPING WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

Dr Sears found that mothers with the most advanced babies slept with them. Most cultures sleep with their babies. We used to. Babies and young children NEED their mother. That is why they cry when not with their mother. For all they know, something is going to eat them if mother is not around. Not sleeping with children traumatizes them every night. I met one man who remembered at two years old being terriifed every night because he had to sleep on his own and wondered why he couldn’t sleep with his parents. No wonder so many children don’t want to go to bed. Anything that traumatizes you, affects your metaphysical abilities.

ASPARTAME, MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE AND OTHER EXCITOTOXINS

These toxins scramble your brain, just like drugs. Anything that scrambles your brain will suppress your metaphysical abilities.

When you want to sweeten anything, use raw honey. That is, something that is as close as possible to what nature produced, without processing.

CELLULAR PHONES

Cell phones shrink brain cells.

Whatever hurts your brain, hurts your metaphysical abilities.

Use only a landline and get an answering machine. It’s really not that difficult!!!! NEVER let children use a cellphone.

Be aware that some people have suggested that there may be something addictive about cellphones if you feel it’s hard to give up.

ROCK AND RAP ‘MUSIC’

Rock and rap ‘music’change brain wave patterns. They stop you from accessing your higher powers.

If you can find music that vibrates at a high frequency, that is performed by people who operate at high frequency, listen to that instead.

Silence is golden to listen to.

SCHOOLING SYSTEM

Our schooling system is very much logical and rational. It develops mainly the left brain without developing the right brain.

This teaches us to think which has its usefulness. However, it does not teach us to know, to access our intuition.

Knowing is much more powerful and faster than thinking. Knowing comes from our right brain and our intuition.

In addition, the time that children attend school and the way they have to sit still for many hours at a time is mind control. A German discovered that children who are taught to go to school five days a week are later trained to be good 9-5, Monday to Friday workers.

Wouldn’t you rather your children were taught to be healthy, happy, spiritual millionaires whose purpose in life is to improve the life of others rather than have a job to make a living?

Do whatever it takes to do homeschooling. Virtually anyone can do it, so long as you buy a curriculum.

There are many, many advantages over normal schooling, both academic and social (eg We may consider it ‘normal’ to go to school but nowhere in the real world do you get to hang out with 30 other people who are all your own age).

NEGATIVE PEOPLE

We become like the people we spend time with. We pick up their vibrations unconsciously. For example, see how people pick up accents when they visit a different area.

If you really want to grow, you will probably have to let go of some of the people you spend time with now. It is better to be on your own than with people who pull you down or who anchor you to the material universe.

I personally find that my metaphysical abilities take a quantum leap whenever I am with other people who also have and ACKNOWLEDGE THE EXISTENCE of metaphysical abilities.

LACK OF PRACTICE

Use it or lose it.

Find a way to practice the particular abilities you are interested in, even if for only a few minutes a day.

ANGER

The reptilians in particular will focus on increasing your rage and anger, because your metaphysical abilities definitely go down with rage and anger.

Would you rather be right or would you rather have peace?

Focus on forgiveness.

Focus on feeling love radiate in your heart.

The Year 2012 - A Time to Change

The worlds oldest calendar, known as the Long Count Calendar, was created by a race of American Indians called the Maya. According to their calendar our current planetary cycle began in 3113 BC and will end on 21st December 2012 AD. The Maya were an advanced civilization who dwelt in Mexico during the 7th century and, amongst their other attributes, were keen stargazers, architects, and mathematicians. They possibly used early forms of Numerology and astrology to map the natural rhythm and cycles of life on this planet.

The Maya were given to making uncannily accurate prophecies about key turning points in human history, including their own. As their civilization reached its zenith and then collapsed sacrificial rites replaced art and science. They were invaded and largely slaughtered by Spanish conquistadors during the 16th Century. Furthermore, the Spanish Inquisition destroyed many of the Mayan prophecies, which were recorded in early books named Codices, so little remains of their writings.

The Mayans believed that humanity would reach a stage during the early 21st century when a change of consciousness would become imminent. As a consequence, the worlds population would once again fall into step with the natural pulse of our planet. They stated that this would only occur following a period of serious trials.

Numerology can identify the impact of the change that will occur and help us to understand the challenge that we are facing. In a previous article entitled Numerology and the New Millennium I described some of the major characteristics of this period in our history and a few of the attitudes that we must adopt if we are to preserve humanity. We are presently witnessing examples of excessive greed that are threatening to destabilize the worlds economy and may yet cause a globalWall Street Crash. This is just one of a number of facets that need to change. Relationships are becoming strained as interaction between the sexes, people and cultures takes on an increased sensitivity and likelihood of misunderstandings. Rage and frustration are overriding calm rational minds. Materialism has overtaken our lives and no matter how much we rush there is never enough time in the day.

This Millennium now requires a merger between the left and right sides of our brain. The left is the critical, mundane faculty, while the right side represents the psychic and meaningful intellect. We have reached a point in our current evolution where we have allowed the left brain to dominate our outlook to the extent that we see life from a cynical and rather aggressive point of view. This imbalance needs to be redressed. Art or theatrical critics analyze and pick apart creative works in order to suggest improvements, but rarely do they produce their own works of art. Conversely, the artist or playwright possesses the vision and ability to develop a potentially classic work of art but may be too close to their creation to notice any glaring faults. Neither one functions constructively on their own, therefore, an equal partnership is the only way forward. We need to reintroduce the right brain into our thinking and to apply the partnership rule to our lives. We cannot continue to suspect everyone and everything or to rush about without noticing the beauty in the world around us as this will lead to our becoming isolated. We will then miss the quality of meaning in our lives. Stress and a lack of fulfillment will haunt us and we will constantly wonder where the time has fled to. We have to slow down now and to take time to become self-aware so that we can get in touch with our respective artists and craft great works of art for the future.

It is for this reason that, as the Mayans said, a change of consciousness will take place because we cannot continue any further down our present path. The next few years will indicate our future and the new direction that we will all be taking.

The Magic of Yes!

“The big question is whether you are going to be able to say a hearty YES to your adventure.” - Joseph Campbell

You know, I think I get it. I think I finally get it that there’s no one else out there saying YES or NO to our desires - no parents, bosses, spouses, no Universe, no God, no karma, no destiny. There’s nothing and no one else granting or denying us what we desire. It’s our choice. We can say YES to ourselves and attract what we desire or we can say NO and repel what we’re asking for. When we choose the Magic of YES! we allow all our dreams to come true.

To gain insight into the magical powers of YES, let’s take a look at its etymology. The word “Yes” comes from Old English and Indo-European roots meaning “So Be It” and “May It Be So.” Clearly, then, when we choose the Magic of YES!, we’re conscious creators declaring “So Be It!” When we say YES, we’re creating our lives in accordance with our own desires.

As children, many of us were trained with NO. According to a UCLA study, the average child hears the word “No” more than 400 times a day! “No, you may not have another cookie.” “No, you are not staying up past your bedtime.” “No, you cannot have that expensive new bike.” “No, you are not wearing THAT to school.” No! No! No! Having internalized all these restrictions and limitations, it’s no wonder we learned to restrict and limit ourselves.

Having LEARNED to say NO to ourselves, we can now LEARN to say YES! When we say YES, everything changes. When we say an emphatic YES! to ourselves, we are filled with an empowering Life Force Energy. Life opens up for us in magical ways. Happy, supportive people appear. Awesome circumstances line up for us. YES! is the magic word that unlocks all the doors. Here are some doors that my clients have been able to unlock by learning to say YES! to themselves:

  • He said “YES! I CAN start my own business and do what I enjoy.” And he’s loving every minute of it!
  • She said “YES! I CAN have the relationship of my dreams after two failed marriages.” As you wish!
  • He said “YES! I CAN make good money in real estate even in today’s ‘tough’ market.” Ka-Ching!
  • She said “YES! I CAN attain and maintain my ideal weight after being heavy my entire life.” Hello, Gorgeous!
  • She said, “YES! I CAN be on Oprah.” So be it!

If you’ve been saying NO and depriving yourself of what you really want, it’s time to utilize the Magic of YES! Whenever you hear that unpleasant word NO creep into your thoughts, stop and replace it with YES! Stop telling yourself NO. YES feels so much better! Let go of restrictions and limitations. It’s up to YOU now. What do YOU choose?

Here are some YES! Affirmations to help get you started. FEEL yourself having it your way as you repeat these kinds of positive statements:

  • YES! I CAN manifest whatever I desire.
  • YES! I AM a magnificent creator.
  • YES! I DO believe in myself.
  • YES! I AM gorgeous.
  • YES! I AM wealthy.
  • YES! I DO accept and love myself completely.
  • YES! I AM brilliant.
  • YES! I AM happy.
  • YES! I DO feel so very good.
  • YES! I CAN have the new car / the **** lover / the perfect body. . .

Say YES! to having what you want. Say YES! to following your bliss. Say YES! to love and joy and adventure. Say YES! to fun and prosperity and Well-Being. Say YES! to feeling good. Say YES! to living life fully. Say YES! to dreams coming true. Say a hearty YES! to your adventure. Empower, transform and free yourself by choosing the Magic of YES!

The Beginnings of Chromotherapy

It has long been known that bright colours lift spirits and dull colours have a depressive effect. Architects and interior designers as well as we ourselves, albeit often unknowingly, have used colour to enhance our state of mind and bodily health. Healing with colour is known as chromotherapy and has been in existence since the 13th century. But even before this, we know that the ancient Persians practised some form of light and colour therapy.

The Psychology of Colour

The advertising industry woke up to the psychology of colour a long time ago. For example, a sugar manufacturer knew that he must not package his product in green, while beauty products packaged in brown would likely stay on the shelf forever. The colours of nature have influenced us and these influences are deeply-seated in our physiological and psychological make up.

Advertisers probably did not know why they chose the colours they did and rejected others, but the fact is that green denotes astringency and sugar is definitely not that. On the other hand, the popular blue used on sugar packaging stands for sweetness.

Even the Blind Can See

The response to colour is so deep-rooted in us that the lack of sight makes no difference. If the individual needs emotional peace psychically or physically, he will automatically choose the darker colours. If he needs to expend energy in creativity or outdoor activity, he will choose the brighter colours.

Shine a red light on a person with normal sight and his blood pressure will go up. Shine it on a blind person and his blood pressure would go up too. Colour gets through to everyone.

Healing with Colour

In chromotherapy, therapists focus a particular coloured light along with its complementary colour on the part of the body that is affected, or sometimes on the entire body. Treatment is carried on for predetermined time periods over several weeks. The therapist also advises his patients to use the right colours in their clothes and surroundings. As in homeopathy, the therapist takes a holistic approach to the problem. He notes the patient’s food habits and lifestyle, his previous medical history and his colour preferences.

Some therapists shine the coloured light on acupressure points on the body or on the chakras. It is believed that the chakras correlate with the endocrine system which has a direct influence upon the patient’s health.

Tried and Tested

Colour therapy is still in its early stages of development but health problems such as eczema, psoriasis, blood pressure disorders, insomnia, breathlessness, hyperactivity and depression have responded well to this form of alternative healing technique. It has also been seen that patients in hospital rooms painted orange or red heal faster than in those painted in drab colours.

Do it Yourself

You may try healing yourself with colour. Relax and close your eyes. Take deep breaths. Picking the colour you need to treat your particular problem, visualise yourself inhaling the colour. Direct the colour to the affected part of your body. Do this for ten to fifteen minutes every day over a couple of weeks and you’ll notice a difference. You could increase the number of weeks according to the seriousness of the problem. Here’s a colour table to help you pick the right colour.

  • Red: Stimulates, increases vitality. Stimulates nervous system, speeds up growth, increases blood pressure, releases adrenaline. Prescribed for anemia, depression, low blood pressure, arthritis. Complementary colour- turquoise.
  • Orange: Antidepressant, encourages enthusiasm and laughter; stimulates digestive, metabolic and respiratory systems. Prescribed for gallstones, bronchitis, asthma, coughs. Complementary colour - blue..
  • Yellow: Stimulates intellect, promotes detachment, improves scar tissue healing, digestion, bowel movement, reduces lethargy. Prescribed for arthritis, lethargy. Complementary colour: violet.
  • Green: Promotes mental flexibility and harmony, calms nerves and heart palpitations, soothes stomach. Prescribed for ulcers, boils, insomnia. Complementary colour - magenta.
  • Turquoise: Refreshing, cooling, promotes objectivity, relieves pressure and pain, reduces inflammation. Prescribed for eczema, colitis, psoriasis. Complementary colour - red.
  • Blue: Relaxes, reduces blood pressure, recharges energy, helps healing. Prescribed for headache, menstrual pain, rheumatism. Complementary colour - orange.
  • Violet: Induces peacefulness, promotes individuality and self-esteem, lowers heart-rate, induces sleep, calms mind and body. Prescribed for dermatitis, epilepsy, bladder problems. Complementary colour: yellow.
  • Magenta: Increases composure and self-respect, stimulates ******** and vitality, revitalises spine. Prescribed for headaches, sexual dysfunction. Complementary colour — green.

Mahjong

Mahjong, also known as mahjongg, majiang, mah-jong or mah-jongg, is a traditional Chinese game. Mahjong is a game that involves skill, intelligence, estimation as well as luck. Mahjong, which literally means “the game of a hundred intelligences” in Chinese, has been traditionally a gambling game. Ma Chiao, Mo Tsiah, Ma Cheuk, Ma Jong, Ma Chiang, Ma Chong, Man Chu, Mah Diao, Pung Chow, Mah Chong, Ching Chong, Mah Cheuk, Ma Chiang, Kong Chow, Mah Deuck, Lung Chan, Mah Lowe, Pe Ling, Baak Ling are other names for Mahjong.

There are many variations of the game, most importantly the Chinese, Japanese and American versions. Today, Mahjong is an international game with tournaments being held all over the world, including the Mahjong World Championship. For this, new rules of the game have been formulated with new patterns for playing as well as scoring. Mahjong Solitaire is one of the most popular Mahjong games.

Mahjong is usually played by 4 players, even though two, three or 5 players can also play it. Mahjong can be played with a set of tiles or with Mahjong playing cards. Basic Mahjong equipment includes chips, tiles and dice. Generally, the tiles are 136, 144, 148 or 152 in number. The most common kinds of tiles are: the circle suit (contains circles), the bamboo suit (contains bamboos), character suit (Chinese characters representing ten thousand coins each), wind tiles (representing north, south, east and west), dragon tiles (red, green and white), flower tiles (containing art work) and joker tiles (used like a wild card, as a substitute for any tile). A Mahjong set contains 144 tiles, 2 season tiles, 4 “red 5” bonus tiles, 1 table wind Tessera, 4 dice, scoring tallies, storage trays and a carrying case.

In the game, each player holds set of 13 tiles (for a 136-tile set) and draws one tile at a time from a stack (known as the wall). The objective is to make a set of four defined groups of tiles containing 3 or 4 tiles and one pair of tiles. The first player to complete this set is the winner. Each of these tiles has certain values. Scoring in Mahjong involves points, each point having a certain monetary value that is predefined by the players. In gambling mahjong, poker chips are used for transaction. In Mahjong solitaire, the game is to pair to two similar tiles and remove them. The objective is to remove all the tiles from the board. In this game, the tiles are staked upon each other. Only free tiles, or tiles that do not have other tiles to their right or left, can be removed.

There are also computer versions of Mahjong that can be played with the computer, online with other players or it can be downloaded for playing. alone.

Tai Chi

In modern society many people are preoccupied with comfort and the desire for a healthy and prosperous life. People have invented many ways to improve their state of mind and live a healthy life. One such method is Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese exercise regimen. Tai Chi is fully known as “Tai Chi Chuan,” which means “the supreme ultimate force.” It later spread from China to gain worldwide popularity.

It is a combination of yoga and meditation. To follow Tai Chi one must learn some simple movements. It is in many ways similar to the martial arts. The moves are very simple, soft and slow, with simple even transitions.

Although Tai Chi is primarily for the purpose of achieving a calm and tranquil mind, it also has some martial arts applications. If two persons exercise together, it is called “Push-hands.” The practitioners of Tai Chi can easily adapt to the martial arts, which emphasizes the ability to channel potentially destructive energy into a kick or a punch.

Tai Chi is a vital part of Taoism, a Chinese tradition first associated with the scholar/mystic Lao Tsu, a student of Confucius. He wrote and taught in the province of Honan in the 6th century B.C. He also authored the seminal work of Taoism, the Tao Te Ching.

A calm and cool mind can be acquired through Tai Chi. It accompanies the beauty and tranquility of nature. It is an interpretation of feelings, and a continuous process. It’s also a good method for finding mental peace. After all, we can all benefit from learning how to get a peaceful environment.

Tai Chi provides detailed information on Tai Chi, Benefits of Tai Chi, Tai Chi Videos, History of Tai Chi and more. Tai Chi is affiliated with Transcendental Meditation.

Thinking About Thinking - Part 2

Thinking Unconsciously

Daydreaming your way to performance and profits.

Like many of my clients, I am always looking for ways to speed things up - to produce more results with the same or even fewer resources. We probably agree on this. The key is certainly not about working harder; it may not even be about working smarter. But there are definitely ideas which work, and those ideas need to be uncovered. Often you can find them through analytical thinking. In my last article I discussed this: a process of asking deliberate questions, and in a disciplined, even rigorous way, coming up with answers. Asking and answering, that’s the analytical thinking process. Do it enough and you will likely come up with something useful.

But there is a whole other process, a “something” that goes on in the mind. Many people call it intuition. Others call it “gut feel,” or “tapping the universal spirit.” In contrast to rational, linear left-brain thinking, it is sometimes called “right-brain” thinking, synthetic, or holistic thinking. I’m going to call it unconscious thinking. What I mean by this cumbersome phrase is that this kind of ideation is based on removing the linear, rational, questioning, conscious thinker from the equation, and tapping into the results when they come.

How do you do that? Everybody has their favorite way. Several people, responding to my last article’s caveat that I was not referring to the thinking that goes on in the shower, wrote that their best ideas occur in the shower. For others, unconscious thinking occurs while driving their car. Or working out in the gym, riding a bike, or jogging. Gardening seems to be a hot spot for hot ideas. And sybarites I know report getting great ideas while being massaged and sipping wine in the hot tub.

Some people put themselves in a trance state via meditation or actively listening to music. Others go into a trance watching TV. I get great ideas when I’m at the movies. (Curiously, it doesn’t work while watching a movie on videotape — I think the level of concentration is too low — which may be a key to the way these processes work. For the car people, it only works while driving — not as a passenger. The logic behind this is similar.)

What is this spontaneous generation of unconscious ideas? I must confess that, really, I have no idea. But I do know how to make it happen. Spontaneously. The key is to loosen the grip of consciousness on the mind, and get the logical, linear, Q&A thinking process out of the way.

Spontaneous generation comes in two basic flavors –fortuitous and deliberate, both of them “unconscious”. An example of the fortuitous kind is what happens when you are driving your car, and an incredibly useful thought just “comes” to you. If you are not prepared, you are likely to lose it as quickly as it came. On the other hand, if you keep a voice recorder or notepad handy, you can capture this potential gem. Plus, being prepared to capture these “fortuitous” intuitive pearls, seems to be a very important part of having them more often.

An example of the deliberate version is when, upon retiring for the evening, you tell yourself (with feeling and conviction) you want to dream the solution to a particular problem. If you get lucky (back to fortuitous), you will. If you do this repeatedly — program yourself with a problem — you will start to dream solutions regularly.

Analytical types may scoff at this “telling yourself” bit. But recent research in cognitive science indicates a possible model for the mind as a series of unconnected agents, each with its own limited function set. Some of these agents may be linked by well-worn pathways. Others, however, have never communicated, and as yet have no way to do so. “Telling yourself” what you want to think about has the effect of sending a broadcast signal throughout the agent population, which may enlist them in your unconscious thinking process.

Whether by happenstance or intention, the available techniques, if you can call taking a shower a technique, are interchangeable. The only difference is whether you set out to generate a specific idea or whether random ideas comes unbidden.

Two habits will make unconscious thinking work more effectively for you. First, prepare your environment to capture ideas as they come. I put 3×5 note cards and pens everywhere — in my car, my night-table, the medicine cabinet, next to my favorite reading chair, my suit pockets, gym bag, even my under-the-seat bike storage pocket — just about everywhere I am, I can find a note card. Plus, I carry a voice recorder in my briefcase. The new one has a digital interface to my computer and transcribes notes automatically.

The second habit is to deliberately plant seeds of ideas in my unconscious mind. I regularly “re-mind” myself of the areas where I could use a creative flash. For instance, if I am working on a book chapter or an article, or if I need a new solution for a client’s business problem, I put that into my mental hopper and let it sit. Often ideas come to me, and if I am prepared to capture them — voila!

So — what are some ways to stimulate unconscious thinking?

We’ve mentioned a number already. One way to stimulate unconscious thinking is to engage in physical exercise. Jogging, swimming, biking, hiking, weight-lifting — all of these activities are great for idea generation. The key is they are all sort of mindless - not requiring much detailed thought. This may seem paradoxical — if you are trying to shut down your conscious mind, wouldn’t you want to distract it with a conscious thought process? No — it seems you want to have the opposite effect– you want to lull the conscious questioning thinker to sleep, and simple repetitive physical work seems to do that. Likewise, playing a rhythm instrument like drums or bass, or any sort of rhythmic chanting or dancing, will produce a similar result.

These activities, along with morning showers, afternoon massages, and evening hot tubs, may be considered strange in the corporate setting (except in California.) Here are some more corporately flavored, “structured” ways to generate unconscious thinking.

Mind mapping is an excellent technique for tapping the unconscious. Tony Buzan, the inventor of mind mapping, has a book called The Mind Map Book which details this technique. Mind mapping seems to unlock certain expressive mechanisms not available by writing. Drawing representations of your problems and possible solutions, however crudely, also works well. For truly graphically challenged, try collages made from cutout images. Sometimes just flipping though magazines will stimulate ideas. Get a big stack of publications — ones with good pictures — and start flipping.

There are activities which you can do in groups. You can play word association games. The game will usually have a context — the idea you’d like to explore. Start with a list of words which relate to your central idea, and free associate. Speed matters in this process, so record these games on audio tape. Another version is to use one of those magnetic poetry kits. Give people the kits and let them go to work. Also, you can mind-map in groups. Or gather a bunch of great images on a projector and let your group play off them.

I mentioned this in my last article: you can use structured information sources in an unstructured way. Use the Oxford English Dictionary (really any dictionary will do, the OED just seems better.) Pick words at random and establish connections with your central ideas. Or use a Tarot deck, or the Taoist I-Ching. You used to be able to do this with fortune cookies but the message quality has gone downhill. Pick a passage from your favorite inspirational literature such as the Bible or Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and invent a connection to your central idea — see what new things come up.

Try attending a seminar when you need new ideas. The seminar need not even be on the subject of concern. Just being in the seminar room, removed from your controlled environment, can cause your conscious mind to let go a little — just enough for spontaneous ideas to creep to the surface and make themselves available. And for those of you who don’t - read some books. On anything. Reading books always stimulates random thinking if you let it. Remember to keep note cards and pens handy.

Bring in outside speakers or consultants to spout off their ideas. (I know this might seem like a shameless plug.) Or cross-over people from departments who normally don’t work together. That always gets the juices flowing. Take these mixed-up groups and do any of the above.

Try game playing — simple things like checkers, go fish, touch-tackle football, Lego, plastic model building, even pickup sticks. Even home or office renovation work, which is simply another game to play. Try something community minded -a neighborhood cleanup program: lots of sweeping, lawn mowing, and trash pickup. All of these “games” distract the conscious mind. Do a session, gather everyone together, and ask what ideas came up. They will.

Do you get the idea? Do you have any other ideas?

Here then are your first two assignments. One: Make a mind map of all the ways you currently do this. Two: Focus your intention on developing some new unconscious processes. Walk around for a few days with this thought deep in the back of your mind. See what you come up with during the week.

The steps are:

Identify the area in which you want new ideas.

Create a diversion for your conscious mind. Lull it to sleep using any of the above methods, or one of your own.

Keep handy a way to record your ideas. This is critical. Use a pocket recorder or note cards. It’s a good idea to always carry one or the other.

Take your unconsciously generated ideas seriously. Pay attention to them: you may not use every idea, but at least evaluate it. Your unconscious mind likes that and you’ll get more.

Feng Shui Lineage and Mystique

“Master YZX, is the sixth generation Feng Shui Master in his family. Since young, he was exposed to the intricacies of this art and learnt the various schools of this study as an apprentice to his grandfather, Master ABC. This is unlike most of his peers who learnt mainly through books and workshops”

The above are typical lines taken off the websites and other advertising medium of certain famous Geomancy masters. While it is understandable to exaggerate service and products levels with advertising puffs, this one really takes the cake as it paints a misleading picture that this Chinese Art is all about secret formulas that are only passed exclusively through appointed successors and descendants. Such an advertising gimmick leads the layman to think that this art is mystical and un-learnable by most people. I have the benefit to come across the blog of the widely respected Master Joseph Yu on this matter. I would like to thank him for his thoughts on this matter. Excerpted from his blog are the following paragraphs in bold:

“I have Feng Shui practitioners today claim to be the *** generation disciple of Yang Jun Song or even Guo Po, Huang Shi Gong, … They are proud of peeping under the trousers of these great Fengshui masters in history. This is how the lineage game is played. How did Newton learn from Descartes? The answer is simple: from his written work. The “lineage holders” will say, “You can’t learn geomancy from books. The masters in the past wrote the books in cryptic language and only the lineage holders can understand the secret. This is because the masters did not want the powerful Feng Shui technique to be in the wrong hands.” How much damage can Feng Shui do if it falls in the wrong hands? Can it be worse than using the knowledge of science and technology to create modern weapons that can kill millions?

If we want to see more, we have to stand on the shoulders of Giants and not hiding under the legs of Giants and claim to be closely related to the Giants. How? The answer is simple: learn from the books written by the great people in history.

There is a Chinese proverb: Stop eating because of hiccups that describes this stupid excuse.

Our attitude should be to stand on the Giants’ shoulders to see further and to respect the Giants who give us a lift. How? Learn it the way scientists do.”

I hope Chinese Metaphysics believers will wise up and not be taken in by such irresponsible advertising claims. Geomancy is neither mystical nor secretive although it is a practice that requires high intellect. Greater are those practitioners that are receptive to different practices of different Geomancers and yet have the clarity of mind to discern and pick up the crème de la crème of different schools’ practices. Poorer are those practitioners who need to cloud their lineage in a veil of secrecy and exclusivity to scare, confuse and con their customers. It is by no coincidence that in my review of Geomancy audit cases of customers who had suffered terribly, they had their such audit done previously by Geomancers that proliferate this type of advertising puffs.

I am a Fengshui Practitioner in private practice and I specialise in Ba Zi, Zi Wei Dou Shu ZWDS, Feng Shui, I-Ching, Qi Men Dun Jia QMDJ and other Chinese Metaphysics tools. My blog site is at: http://fengshuiforward.com and my internet forum at http://fengshuiforward.com/forum

The Cosmic Eggs

One of the ancient Seven Wonders of the World is reported (many years after all but the Great Pyramid had vanished) to be the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus. This great goddess has what many archaeologists and historians have interpreted to be nearly a thousand ******* on her body. It is being commented on in this very manner as I type this. The Discovery Channel is interviewing an esteemed Cambridge scholar who looks to know his words are as wise as Solomon. The stupidity of such absurd explanations is not unusual but still it draws a smile from those who know better.

In the past few months I have read over two hundred books in whole or in part and only the authors of Carthage have an idea about the import of these ‘cosmic eggs’. They also wonder why the Berbers painted so many ostrich eggs and then threw them in garbage pits, near Cyrenaica. The Keltic serpent’s eggs from the Druidic education might provide a little insight. This next quote mentions ‘Pelota’ which we mentioned in reference to a game that took place at Chichen Itza to prevent unnecessary tribal conflict. It has other meanings and depths relating to life and the passage of the soul that are touched upon in this quote from ‘The Mistletoe Sacrament’ by W. B. Crow in ‘A Celtic Reader’ which has been a constant source of mine; for the last ten months as I have explored the origins of the ‘Red-Heads’ with an obsession some might call mania:

The Druids themselves were known to the Welsh bards by a word that means adders, and Lewis Spence is of the opinion that the ridiculous statements of Pliny really refer to the manner in which the Druids manufacture these eggs. Later bards also refer to a ceremony in which a ball was snatched and carried across the water.

The Druidic custom just mentioned, we cannot help thinking, may have been the origin of the curious mediaeval rite of ‘pelota’, which took place in certain Catholic churches in France and Italy on Easter Monday. The ceremony consisted in bringing a ball of considerable size into the church and after solemnly presenting it before the altar, certain of the clergy beginning to dance and throwing the ball about in a special manner {It would be good to know if this originated in Mayan lands or if the Druids like Quetzalcoatl and the Toltecs took it there. They are the ‘messengers’ referred to in many Indian legends like those of Grey Owl.}. The ceremony symbolizes both the passage of the sun and the planets through the heavens and also the vicissitudes of the soul of man (the causal body of the theosophists). In Egyptian mythology the trial of the soul after death is associated with the passage of the sun through the underworld. The whipping of a spinning top, representing Alleluia on the Saturday before Septuagesima, a ceremony not uncommon in this country in former times, is related to this practice.

Madame Blavatsky has some interesting remarks on the connection with the serpent cult {A serpent goes up the side of the pyramid at Chichen Itza in specific ways as the sun and shadows create the effect that the building was re-built to create by the Toltec designers after the original pyramid had been built by the Jaguar cult centuries earlier. Chichen Itza became an international court of the whole of Central America if not more.}, which was at one time widespread and which is still widely practiced in South India. The serpent is a symbol of regeneration {And the orobouros of the alchemists is a serpent holding its tail and making the infinity type of immortality symbol: or the Mayan mathematical concept of zero they are credited with discovering over a century before the people of the sub-continent of India.). Not only does it lay eggs from which new life arises after having been preserved in the dormant state, but the reptile itself sloughs its skin at regular intervals. The initiate, in the ancient mystery religions, went through certain occult processes where his vehicles {Solar body, soul, allies and ‘doppelganger’ to name a few.} were actually renewed, and in the symbolism thereof cast off his old clothing and was clad in new vestures. What better symbolism than the serpent could be chosen to represent this change in the personality? Besides this, the regeneration by sloughing refers to the regeneration of the physical body by reincarnation and the regeneration of races and worlds of the theosophic cosmogony.

Some primitive peoples, after a death has occurred, perform a ritual in which the performers are divided into two groups and a struggle for the body takes place between the parties. This refers to the struggle between the powers of light and darkness for the spirit o£ the deceased, an eschatological myth of many ancient peoples. In the course of the evolution of this ritual it became a game in which the skull alone was the object of combat or had to be kicked into the goal. The various forms of the game of football and polo, and perhaps other ball games, are supposed to have originated from this, the original religious significance having become lost. The Druidic ritual of snatching an egg and running away until one got over a stream (which acts as the goal) suggests a similar game and connects up with funeral games. The egg or ball is an excellent symbol of the causal body, if one can believe clairvoyants, who see it as a kind of rounded or egg-shaped structure, in fine matter {Similar to ectoplasm as seen in ghosts.} of the higher mental {I would definitely NOT use this word.} plane. After death, according to accounts of occultists, there is a kind of play of forces, good and evil, which do seem to struggle for the possession of the causal body and to determine whether it goes to a good or bad incarnation when next it descends to clothe itself with coarser matter.

The Druid’s egg, says Pliny, was unknown to the Greeks {They certainly knew about the Temple of Artemis with all the eggs some current Cambridge scholar thinks is breasts, and Pliny the Roman is not an initiate in the Eleusinian or Cabiri, mysteries, to my knowledge.}. But other kinds of eggs are mentioned in Greek and Hindu mythology, and the consecration of an egg was one of the most important acts in the secret ritual of the Eleusinian mysteries. The Christian Church continued the use of the same symbol, as we see in the so-called Easter eggs, and in the ostrich eggs which are still to be seen hanging in Orthodox Catholic Churches in the East. In fact a whole lecture might be devoted to the symbolism of the cosmic egg.”

We must delve into many things this quote engages. In some ways I am squeamish about doing so in this book. I have written about my experiences and research on the stele I found behind the Pelota at Chichen Itza in other books and that makes re-telling the story something redundant. The matter of good and evil and ‘Some primitive peoples’ this author is talking about is most troublesome. How can I do what millions of philosophers throughout history have been unable to fully explain? It is clear that the Christian church borrowed almost all the supposedly pagan rituals. The communion is admitted by de Vere and Gardner (Genesis of the Grail Kings and the Sarkeny Rend Rosicrucians) to be similar to their earlier adept Count Dracul or ‘Vlad the Impaler’ and the vampire practices. My experience with exorcisms is extensive enough to know that the Catholic Church takes advantage of some pretty easy situations and makes them a big issue for the purpose of self-promotion. I recommend reading The Devils of Loudon by Aldous Huxley for a documentary trip down that road. The matter of the fight over the soul that sounds like some of Dante Aligheri’s “HELL” is not the matter of Druidic cosmogony. It is the tactic of FEAR-mongering by Christianity such as the ’sins and demons’ we touched upon in the issue of medical ailments and Paracelsus.

Mr. Sharkey spoke about ‘representing each world within the other’, as he described the Druids. There was a guided spiritual ritual part to some of what went on at the Pelota in Chichen Itza with the big ball, that goes into the realm of the time-space continuum, and free choice that students of the Nagual’s Way from Castaneda might understand that I won’t delve into, again. Are there really ‘Other Worlds’ as the quantum physics ‘Many Worlds Interpretation’ assures us and Wigner or Schrödinger (Nobel Laureates) say the Mandukya Upanishads describe accurately? Have you read the Tao of Physics by the physicist Fritjof Capra and seen what he says about S-Matrix theory of Math and the ‘I Ching’? Believe me this author (Mr. Crow) might have to turn into a raven if his ‘whole lecture’ would do the trick in explaining the cosmic egg.

We have made it clear the Kelts believed in the afterlife and spirit world or they wouldn’t have made loans to be repaid after death. We have said they didn’t fear death and that they had no punitive ‘unmerciful God. But there are leprechauns and the Fianna of the great ancient Irish king Finn who the Phoenicians liked and named themselves after. So we are caught in this quandary of making seeming conflicting statements come together. We said the spirits might take a child or their energy if the parent let the spirits know the child’s name. That doesn’t sound like the work of a leprechaun! You have heard about ‘witches’ and you know we’ve been defending them, too. You probably wonder if this isn’t all ‘hocus-pocus’ and barbaric things anyway.

There are good people that I know who deny and avoid these facts like they are ‘THE PLAGUE’! It isn’t going to make your life easier when you open these doors and see the thousands more that await you beyond. Occultists are often ’sophists’ or will engage in sophistry too. Who can say what things God might be capable of? Who really believes in such a force anyway? Most people pay lip-service to it. The Kelts we have said (and Admiral Morison ridiculed) were different. Clearly the Phoenicians demanded the greatest personal commitment to their beliefs, at least from their average person or citizen. When their kings are seen having to give their first born to the god Baal (Bel = BL) are they just babel-ing (BBL and later the Bible)? Some of these kings were front men or women and there is adequate proof they did these things, but that doesn’t mean they all did it. Carthage had a democratic type of government according to Aristotle and maybe this was the cross kings had to bear like the Keltic practice of burning the leader at the end of their term in office (25 year term, and this made for less fraud and ‘cronyism’). This can become pretty barbaric as we have seen with the ‘Devoted Ones’ but it became a celebration and the forerunner of the ‘wake’. That seems proof enough that death was not feared anyMORE than the North American warriors who ‘counted coup’ feared their ‘maker’. So what if all these cultural beliefs are shared across the oceans? What does it matter to you now if you are ‘getting yours’? Why ‘open a can of worms if you can’t close it’?

Maybe we should leave this kind of talk to another book and just point fingers at the church that hides these truths from us. Maybe our happiness and freedom are better under their ministrations. If there are spiritual forces that can mess with us. There is a lot of merit in my concerns about this and there is a law of the Magi that says ‘Know, Will, Dare, Keep Silent’. We’ve already given a lot of places to look for the answers to esoteric questions like these and it might be best to keep this book on the academic level of ethnology or anthropological denial of the reasons and realities that actually’, are the nature of everyday life. We could talk about laws and minstrels and make cute poems to amuse the reader and still have done a lot to help people see the culture was no more barbaric than we are. Why did the Druids follow this law and keep so much of their knowledge in ‘verbal traditions’ such as the Qaballa was made from? Were they really so afraid of this knowledge being abused by unethical or un-disciplined ‘posers’? Did they really think their soul would be judged as unworthy of progress if they broke this law? Surely if they could sell the knowledge of shape-shifting and the ‘Lost Chord’ they could have made life a lot better for a lot of people.

The truth is they could have done anything or had anything they wanted at the point they rose to the highest level. In fact the moral strength to have such knowledge is more important than the mental or chemical knowledge in reference to the ‘Stone’. I am sure money and power is a pursuit that blinds people through their ego. This ‘blindness’ that closes the soul to ‘what is’ or as Jesus said ‘the living father within’, will prevent any politico from getting their hands on anything really harmful you might say. That might be true, too. There were some things that they knew which could be abused though, and it was (and is) important to do what is RIGHT. That is another law of the three laws of the Magi. RIGHT THOUGHT=RIGHT ACTION!

He’s dodging and waffling, you might say. What about the things this guy said about the battle over the soul when we die? What kind of authority do I have to disagree with occultists like Madame Blavatsky who heralded my favorite teacher Jiddhu Krishnamurti and helped Annie Besant teach him? In the final analysis you might say I’m a person engaging in ’sophistry’ and ego too. We know that no one person can really know God or all these things so why read what I have to say? For now I choose to say that we are going to cover the religion of the Druids who were the dominant force in thousands of years of human culture in a later chapter. But I don’t want the reader to think the Druids or Kelts were so ego driven or fearful as to worry about spirits capturing their souls once they had grown enough to know their name; they also were ‘protected’ from the lesser obsessive forces of the limbo or interstitiary state of the spirit world which may possess a soul.

Yes, they had a lot of scary legends and tales about evil acts of mischievous and other forces. Sometimes these tales are like the accounts of war on the friezes or frescoes of the Mayan, who wanted people to know the stupidity of war. Sometimes there were people who needed this motivation to take the time to learn enough to protect themself. In all cases as long as the Druids were still around (before the Roman ‘bounties’) they had recourse to protection if something really bad occurred. At the same time there was a greater element of ‘fate’ and ‘destiny’ in this religion than I think is real. I cannot say for sure that there were people at the highest level who knew better the import of ‘free will’. I cannot even be sure what degree or level of free will or ‘world mind’ existed in their collective unconscious (Jung). There are lots of Celts and people from post Druidic times who write about Druids as if they know them. Some of these people are definitely ‘far gone’ when it comes to the inevitability of the cyclical nature of the ‘forces’. The Etruscans are good examples of this and the Carthaginians who allied with them or were their ‘brothers’ surely had a lot of that in them too. But that is a time when the macho power-trippers had already made great inroads into the original nature-worshipping culture, too.

The historians have little to go with in the records of history. We often are left with the words of Caesar in the first century BC. to confirm that there were numerous schools of Druidry as the best recorded insight to earlier times. In Gaul the best knowledge seems to go back no further than the fifth century BC. and ornamentation is the hardest proof. Gimbutas has the Old European alphabet that takes us back a long way but many scholars aren’t convinced because they don’t understand the esoteric symbology. There are those who laugh and point to Stonehenge or Carnac in Brittany, and of course the Pyramid they know it’s the work of the Red-Headed League of Megalith Builders. But they can’t prove a definite connection to the Druids. At least not in the eyes of those who establish the required standards of proof in the halls of academia. They note that the term ‘goddess-worship’ or Wicca may not even have existed until the 18th century. We can say the term isn’t the point and the records of historians are propaganda.

Age Has Become a Brand

BMW, Nike, Toshiba, LV - These are the brands that have become synonymous with quality in their respective fields. In the modern society, branding has evolved to simplify decision making in the process of purchase. Put it simply, for people who have no time to evaluate or the sophistication of mind to compare quality of products or services, brands are the most efficient tool in conveying the quality of the goods or services they are interested in procuring.

Now, does a good brand definitely mean good value-for-money? I would say, most times a well-known brand either give the consumer the fair value or slightly below fair value for their money. Being a cost conscious and sophisticated customer, I have done a lot of comparisons and assessments to be confident of my stand on this. For example, one of the particular brand of branded shoes always give way much earlier than the other less prestigious brand of the same category shoes I had. Some will this shoe may compensate durability for other qualitative aspects like design. On this argument, I will agree to disagree. However, do take note that like stocks, an established counter is seldom undervalued except for the transition period of market correction.

The need for branding permeates every aspect of our society. From the parents that prefer to send their children to the elite schools, to the S$ 400 hairdo that celebrities did and finally to the Fengshui customers that will only take up the service of old and well-known Fengshui Masters.

Now, does an old and well-known Fengshui master necessarily delivers the best or most value-for-money Fengshui service? As Fengshui is an abstract and sophisticated field of expertise, most Fengshui customers would look to age and reputation as their criteria for engaging a Fengshui master.

It is precisely because of the cognizance of this evaluation criteria of potential Fengshui customers that a lot of Fengshui masters portrays themselves as learning this art since tender ages like 9. It is also because of this that a lot of Fengshui Masters will pay a lot to advertise their services in the newspapers or even on Google Ads. This includes high sponsorship deals to appear in the yearly Chinese New Year Eve Variety Program on local television station.

There is a saying in Chinese idiom that says “Only on the goat’s body can goat’s hair be found” which literally means that you pay for what you demanded. Put simply, such advertising dollars splurged are going to be recovered from future customers and therefore, we can safely say that this Fengshui Master’s services would not be value-for-money.

Does being older necessarily makes one a better Fengshui Master? I have come across work of so-called old and reputed Fengshui Master which are riddled with mistakes. Old conveys a message about vast experience and definitely experience will be very useful in the field of Fengshui. However, what if some old Fengshui Master has been repeatedly doing the wrong things or not so effective things all these while? His many years of experience under his belt would not have been as effective as a younger Fengshui Master who can correctly identify the critical areas to study and research upon. As such, an intelligent younger Fengshui practitioner, that studies and works smart by identifying the critical areas and who is able to incorporate a practical approach would be a better choice of Fengshui service provider. I am sure customers do not want a Fengshui Master that only quotes them particular sections of this classical Fengshui text only to be informed that there is no cure for this Fengshui problem as per the teachings of that classical Fengshui text!

What is the problem with being young? There is one tarot card reader in Singapore who started his Tarot Card reading business since 23 years of age. Then there are also 12-year-old music prodigy whose immense talents see land her a ticket to perform in Vienna.

I only believe in looking at age for certain positions. For example, management positions in a sizeable corporate entity. In this case, no matter how competent the young guy is, he still lacks the management experience which is necessary for him to manage people.

Why should a Fengshui practitioner be judged by his age? Fengshui practice is a different altogether from the corporate structure we talked about. One can start to research and practice since young. If one works smart, he may instead not systematically repeat the mistakes that certain older Fengshui Masters make. So by the time one is in his late 20s or early 30s, one can become an accomplished master. Isn’t Joey Yap, one of the better Fengshui Masters around now, also very young?

I am a Fengshui Practitioner in private practice and I specialise in Ba Zi, ZWDS, Flying Star Fengshui, I-Ching and other Chinese Metaphysics tools. My blog site is at: http://fengshuiforward.com and http://fengshuiforward.com/forum

I Need Real Visitors, NOT Search Spiders!

The answer to the first question is simple, the difference between spiders and visitors is dollars. Good old fashion sales, cha ching! ring the cash register. Without quality visitors all of your SEO, website analysis, and keyword ranking nightmares, not to mention the 1000’s of hours you spent changing and tweaking the look of you website, everything, was a waste of your precious time.

Don’t get me wrong, you do want the spiders to visit your website and without all the work mentioned above they wouldn’t stay very long or come back. But remember search spiders are very, very small and hopped up on caffeine go pills. They are faster than an F-16 and make more stops in one hour than Santa does on Christmas Eve. They have no time to stop and shop. Even if they did where would they carry the plastic? They don’t have any pockets or purses to carry a wallet. Their only job is to take a quick look at your site and split to the next URL in the queue. They are mindless robots with one mission.

Secondly, Even if you do your SEO job as good or better than 95% of the webmasters out there you still aren’t going to make the first page! Figure it out, do the math. Between Google, MSN & Yahoo there are only 30 first page spots per given keyword or phrase. That’s out of what? 6 quad trillion pages! The shear size of the web spun by these spiders is staggering! MSN alone reported today it has 6 billion pages of data in there “three month old” search index. Add to that Google, Yahoo and AOL and, well you get the picture. For you or me to get to the first page is almost impossible. Can you change the way things are? No Way baby, it isn’t a reflection on your optimization work it’s just the way it is.

To quote a true expert in the field, Dean Philips

“. . . Because when you stop to consider that Google, DMOZ and Yahoo! have millions and millions of pages in their directories, you’d really have a better chance of winning the lottery, than getting high enough in the results pages where it’s going to make a significant difference in your traffic.”

The answer to the second question, “How do I get more visitors to my website?” is a little harder to give a definitive answer to. There are as many opinions available as there are SEO websites and so called “Experts”. But the bottom line is there are ways.

You have the tools, use them

If you are a website owner and/or you have a good webmaster you have the tools at your disposal already. Most people would think that link exchanging is one way but it’s as old and worn out as that pair tennis shoes you have stuffed under your bed that your wife has been telling you to throw away. Paying for banner ads on other “same type content” websites will work to some extent but the best website choices are usually your direct competitors and giving them your hard earned money makes no sense at all. Google AdSense blocks seem to be on everyone website maybe that will work to bring in some income. Maybe, but it doesn’t move your stock off the shelves and it won’t pay your employees or truck payment. Lastly, you could try Google AdWords advertising, I know first hand that it works to bring in traffic. But watch out, if you don’t manage it right it will get expensive quick.

Heard enough? All of those ideas at one time or another were very good and a couple still work if used sparingly in conjunction with a good overall marketing plan. The spiders have spun this web so big and so tight that if you don’t have a good marketing plan you will get stuck and lost. You simply just have to have a plan and find alternative ways to attract real traffic to your website. More traffic will turn into more sales and that is what we all need.

If you have been looking around the web for an SEO expert to help you bail the water out of your leaky dingy I am sure you’ve noticed the same trends I did. Virtually everyone, not all but close, has taken the Lemming approach to there SEO work, “Follow Google”. First its “we need to fill your meta tags with crap” then its “you need a Reciprocal links index” no wait “now you need only one way links” Enough already. That’s fine for the big corporations, they have huge advertising budgets and enough bank to finance $10,000 per month, go in every direction optimization projects. That’s fine for those SEO firms that currently have these big bucks corporate clients under contract. What about you and me? How do we get our fair share of the visitors and give us a fighting chance to make a living?

The answer is “Forget everything you’ve read and go back to what you know!”

The reason you got into your business in the first place was because you had a product that you knew a lot about and had good success selling it to the neighborhood. In fact, before you mortgaged your house and spent your kids’ first year of college tuition to get involved in the WWW you knew EVERYTHING about that product. You were the Guru, the expert. I’ve got news for you friend, you still are. No matter what Google says.

Now all we have to do is prove it. I say we because from this point forward we’re partners. You’re still in charge, you still pay all the bills and spend all the profits, but together we are going to get the word out about your great website.

That’s great Michael, but how?

With a great overall marketing plan using today’s SEO techniques coupled with the old school marketing that you used for so many years. Add that together with a few new ideas and we will be back on top in a few short months.

First off you need Content! Anyone who has known me for long knows that I believe Content is King. Even if you are a product sales website with 1000’s of sku’s you still need good solid content to bring your customers in and keep them on your site. Long enough to hear about your products and see your great prices. In fact if you have half that many products the content articles are the most important part of the equation. Content holds the key to breaking free of the cocoon and making the spiders pay attention to your website again. So many good things can be said about content that I hardly know where to start.

Well written product articles, featured reviews, test drives, product comparisons, almost any written content will give you untold opportunities to flood the spiders data bank with keywords and phrases. Not just 10 words or 30 words but hundreds of keywords and phrases. Articles will help educate your customers before they buy saving your customer service reps countless hours. These educated customers will come back and tell their friends about your great site. Other webmasters will hear about your website resulting in links and possible affiliates. The benefits are endless.

Discussion boards used to be the big thing. Now, unless you have a tremendous amount of traffic they aren’t worth the time it takes to maintain. Blogs or weblogs on the other hand are reasonably new and easy to maintain and a great way to pass on information to your prospective customers and the search engines love them. In fact if you start one, your product weblog may be the first of its kind, I don’t think I have ever seen a blog about widgets?

The point is you have the knowledge to make this work. You don’t need someone to do all the work you. Like Santa you just need a good helper. If you are not a good writer then practice or hire someone who is. If you need help getting this project started give me a call. Just do it!

Feng Shui Tips For Your Bedroom

Bedroom is considered as one of the most important feng shui spots in the house. As we spend
almost one-third of our time in the bedroom, we just have to make sure it is decorated with
good feng shui design or we would end up suffering from many a bad feng shui symptom.

One of the symptoms of wrong location of the bed can be observed in those who are always
accident prone. When one is subject to disturbing energy due to bad location of the bed on
which one is staying static for at least 8 hours per night or more, one can be very nervous
and ill-tempered during the day, to say the least. Not to mention a host of other problems
that are related to this bad feng shui symptom. And this can be just the beginning of many
problems, which include all kinds of dis-eases at the mental, emotional as well as physical
level.

To locate the bed in the best feng shui manner, there are several main points to observe:

1. The bed has to be positioned in such a way that it has to have a solid backup to it. This
is to say that it’d be vital to sleep with our heads close to the wall against which the
head of our bed is leaned. The further away our head is from the solid wall, the less
auspicious energy we’re exposed to during our sleep.

2. It’s not a good idea to have a ceiling fan right above the bed as, according to the ‘Kua’
in I-ching, it gives out intrinsic energy imprints for our ‘middle section’ to be empty,
which is absolutely something a pregnant lady should refrain from no matter what. Even for
those who are not concerned with pregnancy, such intrinsic energy imprint would throw the
solar plexus’ energy off balanced, which would create the ‘un-groundedness’ that is so evident
in those who’re always considered as having ‘bad luck’. Hence the reason for ‘bad luck’ -
when one’s not ‘grounded’, one has nothing to show for, let alone ‘luck’.

3. There is no place for mirrors in the bedroom, straight and simple. Besides being used for
drawing in energy from its opposite direction, mirrors can bounce energies back and forth,
thus creating much dynamic movement of ‘chi’ - the ‘Yang energy’. When too much ‘Yang
energy’ is present in the bedroom, the ‘Yin state’ is not facilitated. Therefore, it’s a
wrong idea to have mirrors in the bedroom where the ‘Yin state’ is to be preferred.

4. The height of the bed is also of much importance in terms of feng shui. One would not
want to feel being suspended in mid air when sleeping. The issue of ‘un-groundedness’ comes
into play again here as feng shui has a great deal to do with earth energy. When one is in
the open and static ‘Yin state’, one’s energy system is wide open and thus easily affected
by many external factors such as those mentioned above. Sleeping with such feeling as being
suspended in mid air renders one vulnerable to unstable energetic upheavals; therefore, it’s
not good feng shui design at all.

On top of all the above-mentioned is the importance of precise configuration of bed location
according to the ‘flying-stars’ table, without which all feng shui work is not complete.
What the ‘flying-stars’ table is to feng shui is very much like the multiplication table to
mathematics. No advanced work can be done without it…more on that later.

The Art of Becoming Wealthy

The concept behind any form of wealth is creating income.
Are you satisfied with your current income? Probably not.
Have you ever wondered why this is so? A typical case,
shared often at seminars, is that of a person who has
constant challenges with money but disapproves of
accumulating wealth, implying that it is dirty and that it
spoils and changes people.

Further, this person is uncomfortable with people in
business who have more money and yet he or she can’t
succeed. What should such a person do? Clearly this person
is carrying around a mental image that says: “If you have
much money, you’ll be ruined by it and you don’t want that.
So, it is better to remain poor than seek wealth.” The
consequence of such thinking is, not surprisingly, a lack
of money.

Get rid of these thoughts if you want to be wealthy
someday. The Law of Income says that wealth is first
created in the mind. A Wealthy Self-Image People who can’t
imagine themselves wealthy are not yet mature enough to
become wealthy.

Everything begins in the mind as a thought - life is a game
that is directed from between your ears. If you can’t “see”
yourself with money, then your subconscious still doesn’t
have a clear picture of how to act and therefore cannot
help you get there.

In fact, whatever picture you hold of yourself in your
subconscious mind is the person your mind is busy ensuring
you are. If your self-image is one of a poor person or
someone “struggling to get ahead,” then that is who you
will be. Make sure you create and nurse positive pictures
of yourself.

Why You Are Not Wealthy Today? There are two reasons that
you don’t have as much money today as you desire:

1. You didn’t think about or plan for today before it
arrived. Had you been more aware, then, that you would
always need money and acted on that awareness in the past,
you would be wealthier today than you are right now. Why?
Because, you would have intentionally saved money, perhaps
even by making small sacrifices over the years or invested
money. Even small amounts, and would therefore have more
money today than you currently have.

Make a list of your expenses for one month; you’ll quickly
discover how many unnecessary things you buy and how much
you could therefore set-aside for tomorrow. If you want to
free yourself from financial troubles, then start putting a
portion of your money into a special account.

2. The work you have now isn’t bringing in enough money.
There are many ways to increase, even maximize, the
financial and non-monetary rewards you earn from your job.
Ridding Your Path of Obstacles The unfavorable financial
situation you are in usually comes from a very specific
challenge.

Those who do not have money have usually been taught to
believe that money is dirty or that it can’t be earned in
an honest way. So how will you find your fortune, if your
subconscious is being fed with things like, “All rich
people are dishonest and I don’t want to be like that.”?
What follows is clear, perhaps you believe that money
changes, even spoils people.

If you hold this to be true, wealth will elude you. You
have to be clear about the following fact: “Money itself
doesn’t mean anything - it’s just a piece of paper, a tool
that can be used to trade for material goods.” Money is a
“stand-in” for the things you want to buy. Does this mean
that all the things you buy are bad and rotten? If that’s
true, why do people desire new cars? Imagine your job pays
you “in cars” instead of money - would you say now that
cars are bad and rotten?

It seems that gas prices hit a new all-time high each week, and the effect on your pocketbook sure is devastating. If you’re not ready to trade in that full-size SUV or sedan for a much smaller car and are looking for ways to squeeze more miles from each gallon of gas, you may want to read on. There are still many more things you can do to fight the rising cost of gasoline.

Use synthetic oil.

Rather than waste money on fraudulent and ineffective fuel-saving devices, using synthetic lubricants (engine oil, differential lubricant, etc.) in your car can have a very positive impact on gas mileage. According to a major synthetic oil manufacturer’s advertising, unverified customer reports show mileage gains of 4% to 24% after switching to synthetic lubricants. With a mileage increase of just 4%, you would probably more than break even in 15,000 miles (one average year). And there’s a bonus: much less wear and tear on your engine and less frequent oil changes! Cha-Ching!

Get rid of extra weight in your car.

Here’s an easy one - unload all that extra weight in your car and get about 1% - 2% more MPG for each 100 pounds, you lose. Of course, the savings is more dramatic for smaller cars, but every penny counts. Remove tool boxes, your mother in-law, books for Goodwill (have them come and collect your donations), golf clubs, etc., etc. Folks, this one is practically a freebee!

Don’t use the air conditioning in town.

Can you take a little extra heat this year? If you’re cruising in the city, studies have shown that rolling down the windows and shutting off the a/c will definitely save gas. But, when driving on the highway, rolling down the windows creates more aerodynamic drag, using more gas in the process than rolling the windows up and turning on the a/c. Try to plan around-town trips in the evening or early morning when it’s cooler outside.

Wing Chun - An Introduction

The origins of Wing Chun can be traced back to the Ching Dynasty in China over 250 years ago. During this time 90% of the Chinese race, the Hons, were unjustly ruled by the remaining 10%, the Manchus. The Manchus placed unjust laws over the Hons and banned them from the use of weapons and Kung Fu training. The Hons began training a revolutionary army in the art of Kung Fu in the Shaolin temple. Because the traditional Shaolin system took 15 to 20 years to learn, five Shaolin grandmasters met to discuss the merist of each of their styles. They chose the most efficient techniques from each style and designed a system that would take a shorter period of time, 5 years, to learn. This system was named Wing Chun which meant “Hope for the Future”. Before the system could be put into practice the Shaolin temple was raided and burnt. Of the five masters, only one survived, a Shaolin nun called Ng Mui. Ng Mui passed her knowledge of the system onto a young orphan girl whom she named Wing Chun. In turn Wing Chun passed it onto her husband and through the years the martial art became known as Wing Chun.

Wing Chun operates on a number of key principles. These include:

1. Avoiding fighting force with force. It focuses on deflecting any attack rather than trying to stop a blow dead in its tracks. Because deflection is used as its main method of defense, foot work is very important.

2. Using two arms at the same time. That is one arm is defending against an attack while counter attacking at the same time.

3. Adopting a central guard position which forces the opponent to attack or strike in arch. This gives the practitioner the advantage of striking the opponent’s center.

4. Using linear movements when striking providing efficient economy of movement.

5. Focusing on the lead elbow and knee for defending against an attack. For example, the elbow will always indicate the movement of a punch and act as forewarning of the attacker’s intention.

6. Relying on the concept of contact reflexes to assist the Wing Chun practitioner in interrupting the attacker’s movement and launching a counter attack.

In its most basic form Wing Chun is widely known for its vertical punches. As opposed to other martial art styles, Wing Chun punches are thrown with the elbow down in front of the body and the fist held vertical. Aside from being a direct strike, having the elbow behind the fist during the strike means the punch is supported by the strength of the entire arm providing the greatest impact at a close range.

Wing Chun Chi is also known for a training method, called Chi Sao, a drill which involves two practitioners working together designed to improve contact reflexes. During combat, after the execution of a block or attack, a temporary contact is established. By having good contact reflexes the opponent’s next move can be detected allowing the Wing Chun practitioner to launch a counter attack.

A not so commonly known technique of Wing Chun is the Entry Technique. Used to bridge the gap, the Wing Chun practitioner enters into the range of the opponent raising the knee to protect the mid section while thrusting out the lead hand. This technique is quite effective for getting past an opponent’s kicks and punches and provides the opportunity to launch a series of close range Wing Chun attacks.

More advanced Wing Chun techniques include finger jabs, elbows strikes and knees. However these techniques are beyond the scope of this article and have been mentioned purely for completeness sakes. While Wing Chun is considered by many as quite a simple art, it is extremely effective at close range and complements longer range fighting arts.

Winning Friends and Influencing People

I chose this title because I have absolutely no idea how to do this. Tact is not my strong point. As a Taurus/Aries I am definitely a stubborn know it all. I usually do not argue points - but debate almost everything.

The most common way to win friends is to agree with them. Once a person feels you and he (or she) think the same about a subject, that person is much more relaxed around you and will seek you out again because you fit their comfort zone. Many people agree with others because it is the easy way out. Well, that is a problem I have. I cannot agree with someone if I think they are wrong about a subject - hence the debate part. I will definitely argue with anyone that says their way or their idea is right and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong.

We all have opinions about things. I have an opinion about everything. I do not try to force my opinion on others. If someone wants to listen, or read what I have written, well and good. If they do not - that is also well and good.

To influence - an effect of one person to give direction to another. If someone wants a direction to spirituality, I can influence that person. Otherwise, the best way to influence another is through actions, because words are cheap and rarely mean much when going against someone else’s preconceived ideas. One has more influence on another when it is - do as I do, not what I say. This is especially true with children. If parents say - do not smoke as they light a cigarette, or drinking is bad for you as they pour a stiff one, it becomes a very mixed message. If you do not want your children to do something - then that rule holds true for you as well.

To those that know me, I quote the Tao Te Ching often. So often in fact, I am usually told, ok already, stop quoting it. I do this because the philosophy, written more than four thousand five hundred years ago, is still as viable to day as it was then. Truth is truth, no matter what language written in.

As I sit here, with my morning coffee, I am debating whether or not to submit this for publication. I have already had two callers asking about their ex-boyfriends. I was nice and polite, and gently tried to tell them to look to the future instead of dreaming of the past. I do not think it helped much. They were not interested in the truth, only hearing when the ex will return.

Being an on-line psychic has its advantages. I can work when I feel like it. I do not need a wardrobe and can sit around in my pajamas if I so desire. I have no expenses such as gas, clothing, lunch money, etc.

It also has its disadvantages. As the expression goes - you cannot please all the people all the time. Too many people call to drain a psychic of energy. There are many times, at the end of a day, when I am so exhausted I fall into bed and do not even try to make dinner for myself. But life is free choice, and since this is my choice to do, I really cannot complain about it. Besides, who will listen. Most people only want to hear good things or good news. Anything that might upset their little world is not welcome.

I think that is one of the reasons this world is in the shape it is. People do not want to listen. They do not want to hear others are suffering. People are more concerned about getting material possessions and achieving a comfortable status than they are about what is happening around them. That is their free choice, to either help others or not to. Life has its ups and downs. Not everything will be ‘smooth sailing’. Everyone, at one time or another, will fall into hard times, either financially, or emotionally. If someone chooses not to help another person, they should not expect anyone to help them when they need it.

Many people think this is all there is to life. We are born, we live and then die. There is nothing after that. These people do not think of the consequences their actions cause. When they get older, and start looking back on their lives, a certain fear starts growing within them. They begin to think - what happens if I am wrong and there is something after this life on earth. That is when they start to try and buy their ‘stairway to Heaven’. These people grudgingly begin to give money to churches and charity organizations.

Good luck folks. It is not the way it works. I am not going to start a pep talk regarding spirituality. I have written enough about it. Just remember - for every positive action there is a stronger positive action that springs from it. The same holds true about negative actions. Start doing good for others if you want good things to happen to you.

And those are my thoughts for the day.

Rock of Ages

William Jennings Bryan said: “Christians desire that their children shall be taught all the sciences, but they do not want them to lose sight of the Rock of Ages while they study the age of rocks.”

It may seem incredible to those who do not know that the Churchians created the Devil as a means of keeping their flock in fear - who also think the Devil is a Pagan concept. The fear of death was not a Keltic concept and they weren’t moved to assign all their wealth to some rich church when they approached death in order to avoid joining the Devil. Some Christian fundamentalists sell the idea that the age of rocks was a way that the Devil sought to lead Christians astray and these same people would have you teach your children the “Rock of Ages” has more veracity than the geology that proves we’ve had a long time on this earth to develop and learn what kind of Divine soul we are blessed with.

ASIATIC LAWS OF UNIVERSALITY IN THE ‘STUPAS’:

In other books I have explored the Dolmen and Round Towers of the ancient megalith Builders which resemble the symbolism of Man as represented in the steeple. They are part of the era after the truly great megaliths were built in places like Stonehenge and Poverty Point. The real meaning behind the form and structure may be similar though. Mircae Eliade was one of the Eranos Conference attendees with Jung and Campbell who I draw much insight from, in my studies. His scholarship is open and elucidative for me and I sincerely hope the reader will enjoy taking a journey with him to Barabudur. It is not easy for those of us in the present intellect-focused or faith oriented theology to integrate all aspects of how we might learn. Perhaps a simple suggestion to leave all preconceptions aside will suffice. So take off your ‘thinking caps’ and put your heart and soul on the front burner while the rose-coloured glasses of ego or faith diminish into the distance.

“On the subject of Barabudur, the famous temple on the island of Java and the most beautiful monument in Asia, whole libraries have been written. Purely technical explanations have been attempted taking account only of the laws of architecture; endless controversies have been joined over the religious and magical meanings hidden in that colossal monument. Dutch Orientalists and architects have published over the past fifteen years books of great value on Barabudur. The names of Krom, Van Erp, and Stutterheim must be mentioned. The last of these, in a work of 1927, laid the foundation for a true interpretation of the temple: ‘Barabudur is nothing less than a symbolic representation of the Universe’. From this intuition Paul Mus’s investigations start. The beginning of his book consists of a history of the controversy, an exposition of the principle hypotheses, and a critique of methods. Examined in turn are theories of the most illustrious India specialists, art historians and architects. Then Mus undertakes to discuss the problem. It must be remembered that this gigantic volume is preceded by an ‘avant-propos’ of 302 pages in which the author establishes the validity of his methodology. In order to justify the symbolic function of the Javanese temple, Mus emphasizes a truth often remarked by Orientalists: that if the Buddha was not represented iconographically for several centuries, it was not due to incapability on the part of Indian artists, but to the fact that a type of representation superior to images was essayed. ‘That would not have been a defeat of plastic art, but rather the triumph of a magical art.’ When an iconography of the Buddha was adopted, the symbolism was poor by comparison. The ‘aniconic symbol’ of Enlightenment (the wheel, etc.) was much more powerful, more ‘pure’, than the statue. Ananda Coomaraswamy also has published evidence for this thesis in his ‘Elements of Buddhist Iconography’. (12) The conclusion to be drawn from this is that Buddhists, as well as Hindus (and Asians in general) {As well as the Sauk Indians we showed are from the area of the Great Wall and were Buddhists before the loss of magic represented by the change to graven images or iconography.} before Buddhism, used symbolism more effectively, precisely because the symbol was more comprehensive and ‘Active’ in the magical sense than plastic representation. If the Buddha was considered to be a god (as he was, in fact, immediately after his demise), then his magical ‘presence’ was preserved in anything emanating from him.” (13)

A human statue or even a Gothic building representing the Temple of Solomon such as the Templars built into European cathedrals, does not convey the same representation of the ‘Universe’ or cosmos that runs through the veins of all living things. Many ancient beliefs were aware that spirit was within minerals and plants too: we are not this attuned and it is hard for us to see the vectors and lattices of energy in all things. Those who have read the ‘Tao te Ching’ or ‘I Ching’ understand a little of these energies that interact and CHANGE or grow with purpose. The ‘Wheel of Life’ in the Tarot is meant to capture some of this magic just as the dreams of North American Indians have been captured in the circular artistic wheels that sell in all so many souvenir stands. But it will be a long time before man again understands his exquisite interconnectiveness. We know too much to see such elegant simplicity of the spirit that is all around us. The Buddhists say ‘All is Within’ and the completion of the phrase is “the UNIVERSE!” I honour all myths that assist the ‘oneness’ in respect of the creative or intelligent design that so many insist is GOD. Here is an excerpt from my book Cherokee People (will return) to consume or cogitate upon.

In a moment we will return to my encyclopedia for more on the Zodiac because the mounds are a way of connecting to the cosmic energy which comes to earth and through which it passes and is part of. For the moment let us re-visit our present book’s early academic (Kenyon) as he actually (surprisingly) opens doors to the trepanning, skull deformation and ‘Obscene Ritual’ (Skull & Bones and the Bush family of **** leanings) of the Dragons and other Illuminized cults of elites.

“Let us return, finally, to the burial mounds of Ontario. These appear to be related in some complex fashion to the neolithic revolution. Their primary function, in all probability, was to mark the locations of sacred places and to establish territorial occupation. The sites they occupied were used as ceremonial centres for the loosely organized bands that occupied the surrounding areas (cf. Speck 1915). After spending the winter scattered throughout the band territory in small family groups, the people would assemble at a traditional spot, probably in the spring when fish were spawning or in the fall when beds of wild rice would be ready for harvesting. Only at those periods would food resources have been sufficiently abundant to maintain the entire band at one place.

These assemblies provided an opportunity for social interaction on a broader scale than would have been possible throughout most of the year. It was during such periods, too, that the chiefs and other leaders of the group would discuss band affairs with the various family heads and elders. But above all, such occasions provided an opportunity for all of the band members to participate in those rituals and ceremonies that reaffirmed and sustained community sentiments.

The nature of the ceremonies themselves cannot be determined at present, although we are offered a few tantalizing clues as to the subject matter around which they revolved. Most of the available data are derived, of course, from the burials found within the mounds and in submound pits.

In Northwestern Ontario, {Site of the Nipissing magi and Mediwiwin group who are influenced by Masons of the Christian Mystery School Complex or Rosicrucian Dragons.} the skulls that have openings in their occipital regions are reasonably clear evidence of power transfer. The individuals whose skulls were opened would have had some unusual and highly valued personal characteristics; the occipital openings made it possible to remove their brains and to transfer those characteristics from the dead to the living. This would have been accomplished through a religious ceremony that included eating the brain that was the seat of such wondrous powers. {I detail this in many books - and the modern Thalami research that is showing merit to the Cosmic Thought Field.} The eating, of course, could have been either actual or symbolic. {The Communion and Eucharist is derived from the earlier rituals of this sort. Only the most powerful elites get to eat the thalami for the much needed melatonin, iridium and rhodium.} In either event, the highly valued qualities would not be lost to the band through death but would be preserved through reincarnation. {The living cells as close to still living as possible are most needed and some of the old seers would end their lives during this ritual as they would have known throughout their life – it would happen.}

Such practices were probably much more widespread that the archaeological evidence would suggest at first glance; for we know that highly valued characteristics are often located in organs other than the brain. {Thus the Biblical ‘Devoted Ones’ shown in Cahill’s Gifts of the Jews were harvested for hearts too – as in the Aztec rituals and Moshe who also became impacted by these Dragons like the Prince of Palenque.} Our own western European culture, for example, locates many of its most highly prized characteristics in the heart. The point is that power transfer was probably much more widespread than current data suggest, simply because the removal of most organs for this purpose would have left no skeletal evidence…

One of the major ritual acts of the people, however, was the building of the mounds themselves. For it is almost certainly an error to look upon mound-building primarily in terms of engineering. {Especially the lesser and more mundane imitations of the period he is focused upon.} We must see it, rather, as a by-product of sociological processes; that is, we should look upon mound-building as we look upon the performance of a ballet or drama in our own society. Theatres may arise as a result of our interest in such cultural pursuits but the significance of a ballet or drama resides, surely, in the performance itself. The play’s the thing! Once the mound was built, of course, it would have served, as it does a theatre, as a backdrop for other rituals. For once again, it is through such rituals and ceremonies that human groups are bound together and that individual lives are shaped to ancestral patterns.

The masked and painted skulls from Hungry Hall were part of one such ritual. And when it was over, the skulls, like the props of a drama that had run its course, were tossed rather carelessly into the corner of a grave.” (14)

Types of Asian Ceramics

The Chalre Collection comprises a diverse range of pottery styles used over the past 1,000 years. Tradeware ceramics tell the story of how the peoples of Asia forged social and commercial ties with each other during ancient times. The descriptions below represent the primary styles of tradeware ceramics in the Chalre Collection.

Celadon

Celadon is a western word used originally to describe the green glaze of ceramics from Longquan in China. The glaze is made of clay mixed with wood ash and is 2-5% iron, and must be fired in an oxygen reduced atmosphere.

The celadon method began to be used in the 7th century in China. By the time of the Song dynasty (960-1280), the skills of the potters had advanced to a high degree that fine vessels had a jade-like appearance and texture. By the 14th century, motifs such as lotus flowers and stylized chrysanthemums were incised for decoration.

Celadon production in Thailand seems to have started in the later part of the 14th century - around the time of the ‘Ming ban’ of 1371 when emperor Hongwu decided to prohibit his subjects from trading with all other people. It is thought that Chinese migrants were responsible.

Blue-and-White Porcelain (also called “Underglaze Blue”)

Porcelain is the best known type of ceramic tradeware. It is often referred to as `Blue-and-white’ from its ‘underglaze blue’ (blue cobalt oxide below the glaze). The reason Chinese porcelain became so famous is probably because it was traded widely by Europeans from the 17th century onward. By that time, China had already exported blue-and-white porcelain to the Middle East and Southeast Asia for five centuries.

The first Portuguese merchants to visit China eventually realized the value of the “white gold” and started importing limited quantities for the nobles of Europe. It was however first in 1603 that the Dutch East India Company (VOC) sent a load of porcelain to Amsterdam where it was sold for enormous profit. From that date on, Chinese blue-and-white porcelain became known as the finest in the world and much desired in Europe and North America.

“Blue-and-white” porcelain first appeared during the Yuan dynasty (1127 - 1279) but became so pervasive during the Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) that today blue-and-white and Ming are commonly used interchangeably.

Whiteware

Whiteware porcelains began to be made on a large scale in the Jingdezhen region of China and at many other southern kilns from the time of the Song dynasty (960 - 1279). The most famous of the early porcelains was qingbai (pronounced ching-pie). Whiteware porcelains were traded throughout Southeast Asia. Until eclipsed by blue-and-white in the 14th century, it was the dominant Chinese porcelain of its era.

Qingbai (also called yingqing) translates literally as “clear bluish-white.” The jade-like texture of the porcelain results from the clear glaze that contains iron in small amounts. When applied over a white porcelain body the glaze produces a greenish-blue colour. Some have incised or moulded decorations.

Underglaze Black

Long before the Chinese made blue-and-white porcelain using cobalt, a black iron oxide was used to paint motifs below a clear protecting glaze. This technique, used at Cizhou in northern China, developed independently from the celadon production in southern China.

By the 14th century, the so-called underglaze technique appeared in Thailand and Vietnam. Fish, and chrysanthemums representing long life and happiness, were preferred at Thailand. In Vietnam, a flower motif was common. It is highly possible that the underglaze decoration technique (painting with oxides and then applying glaze) arrived in both Thailand and Vietnam with immigrating Chinese potters.

Three-Colour Ceramics (also called “Sanci”)

Sancai means three-colours. However, the colours of the glazes used to decorate the wares of the Tang dynasty (618 - 911) were not limited to three in number. In the West, Tang sancai wares were sometimes referred to as egg-and-spinach by dealers for the use of green, yellow and white. Though the latter of the two colours might be more properly described as amber and off-white / cream.

Sancai wares originate from northern China. At kiln sites located at Tongchuan, Neiqui county in Hebei and Gongxian in Henan, the clays used for burial wares were similar to those used by Tang potters. The burial wares were fired at a lower temperature than contemporary whitewares. Burial wares, such as the well-known representations of camels and horses, were cast in sections, in moulds with the parts luted together. In some cases, a degree of individuality was imparted to the assembled figurines by hand-carving.

Multi-Coloured Qing

During the Qing dynasty (1644 - 1911), potters began using bright colours to adorn plates and vases with meticulously painted scenes. Porcelain ceramicists began producing five-coloured ware by applying a variety of underglaze pigments to floral, landscape and figurative scenes - a style which was (and is) highly sought-after in the West.

During the Yung Cheng era (1723-1735) porcelain was enhanced by the development of fencai enamel in a wide range of colours and tones.

Earthenware

Earthenware is the earliest type of pottery known to have existed for the past 10.000 years. Secondary clay was formed on the pottery wheel or rolled into strings and laid on top of another to form the pot. Earthenware was commonly fired in simple open pits and therefore found in most early civilizations. Firing temperatures normally reached 400C to 700C.

It is thought that most of the earthenware found its way on trade ships as necessities of the men sailing the vessels. Their limited number suggests that earthenware was never made for export.

Women as bosses often tend to confuse criticism with personal insults. Perhaps this is because women are more open about discussing emotional issues with each other than men are. It happened to me when I worked under a creative director in a multinational advertising agency. My boss would often bring up issues in my personal life which she laughed at and I was proud of. I think much of it came from the fact that we often shared our lives with each other. So one of the most important things you could do to avoid negative criticism at work is keep your distance!

And when you are the boss (as I was later on), make sure that not only do you avoid criticising your subordinates in front of others, you also avoid criticism unless you have a better alternative. For instance, when you say a certain copy line is not working well, you should be able to suggest one that does. But that’s only after the writer has given it a serious shot himself. After all, your subordinates look up to you and expect you to have the answers and a competent boss is always an inspiration!

Here are some rules you could follow that will help you give objective and constructive criticism that will bring the best out of your subordinates:

  • First get the facts straight and make sure the criticism is deserved.
  • Criticise the goof up, not the person.
  • Don’t get emotional and go all over the place. Keep to the point.
  • Don’t use bad language.
  • Don’t threaten to fire the person.
  • Empathize before you criticize. Tell them what they do right before you tell them what they do wrong.
  • Concentrate on the solution, not on blaming.
  • Criticise in private.
  • Give a specific example of the goof up and then follow it up by a practical suggestion.
  • Give your feedback immediately after the goof up.
  • Focus on the behaviour he or she can change.
  • Look the person in the eye.
  • Only give one criticism at one time.

Follow these rules and you’ll be the best-loved boss your subordinates will ever know. After all, today’s corporate success is not so much about how much you pay, but how much you care.

Characteristics of The Soul

A human being has a character. Some people are very active. Some people are very quiet. Some people are very humorous. Some people are very serious. A soul has its own character. From my personal experience, I would like to share my insights on the main characteristics of the soul:

* Your soul (which I also call your body soul to distinguish it from other souls, such as the souls of your organs) is independent. A human being has a soul, mind, and body. They are separate but united. They are separate because they are independent. They are united because they reside in the same body and communicate with one another.

* Souls have consciousness and intelligence. They have awareness. They think. They analyze. They learn. They have likes and dislikes. One person may like to travel. Another may love food. You may like to read. Someone else may like sports. A soul has its own likes and dislikes, which it has developed over hundreds or even thousands of lifetimes. To help balance and harmonize your soul, mind, and body, it is important to know your soul’s likes and dislikes.

* Souls have emotions. A soul can be happy, peaceful, sad, fearful, or upset.

* Souls have incredible wisdom. After you open your spiritual communication channels, you will be able to consult with your soul. You will be amazed to learn how much your soul knows. Your soul is one of your best consultants and guides.

* Souls have great memory. A soul can remember experiences from all of its lifetimes. For example, you may travel somewhere for the first time but clearly feel you are familiar with that place. You may feel like you were there before. Some places make you happy. Some places make you scared. You may have had past-life experiences in those places. Your soul has memories of those experiences. Therefore, you have special feelings at those particular places.

* Souls have flexibility. Walk toward a corner of your room. When you reach the corner, you will have nowhere else to go. You have to turn around to move farther. In life, many times you could be stuck in a situation like a corner. You must turn around to get unstuck and move farther. This teaches us to realize the importance of flexibility. There is a famous statement from ancient times: hua you san shuo, qiao shuo wei miao. The essence of this statement is: There are three ways to say something. Find the best way in the moment. This tells us there is flexibility in speaking every sentence. Therefore, there is flexibility in every aspect of life. Your beloved soul has profound wisdom, knowledge, and experience from hundreds of lifetimes. Your soul has great flexibility. Make sure you use the strength of your soul’s flexibility to deal with your life.

* Souls communicate with other souls naturally. Your body soul communicates with other souls naturally. People often talk or dream about a soul mate. When you meet some people, you may instantly feel love. You may feel there is something special between you. The reason for this is that your souls were close in past lives. Your souls could have been communicating for many years before you met physically.

* Souls travel. When you are awake during the day, your soul remains inside your body. But when you are asleep at night, your soul may travel outside your body naturally. In fact, many souls do this. Where does the soul go? It goes where it loves to go. Your soul can visit your spiritual teachers to learn directly from them. It can also visit your old friends, or Heaven and other parts of the universe.

* Souls have incredible healing power. In this book, I will teach you how to apply Soul Power for healing, including self-healing, healing of others, group healing, and remote healing.

* Souls can help you prevent sickness. In this book, I will reveal the soul secrets of soul prevention of sickness.

* Souls can help you rejuvenate. In this book, I will share soul wisdom and practices for soul rejuvenation.

* Souls have incredible blessing capabilities. If you encounter difficulties and blockages in your life, simply ask your soul to help you: Dear my soul, I love you, honor you, and appreciate you. Could you bless my life? Could you help me overcome my problems and difficulties? Thank you so much. Invoke your own body soul in this way anytime, anywhere. Your soul can help you solve your problems and overcome your difficulties. Love your soul. Ask your soul to bless your life. Your soul will be delighted to assist you. You could be fascinated and amazed to see the changes in your life.

* Souls have incomprehensible potential powers. In this book, I will teach you how to develop the potential powers of your soul.

* Your soul connects with your mind. Your soul can teach your mind. Your soul can transmit its great wisdom to your mind.

* Your soul connects with your Heaven’s Team, which includes your spiritual guides, teachers, angels, and other enlightened masters in Heaven.

* Your soul can store messages. Messages can be stored in your Message Center and in the souls of your body, systems, organs, cells, and more. After you develop the potential powers of your soul, you will be able to access those messages anytime and anywhere.

* Your soul is constantly searching for knowledge. Just as your mind is always learning, so too is your soul. Your soul can learn from other souls, particularly from your spiritual fathers and mothers. Your soul has the potential to learn divine wisdom and knowledge.

* Souls can protect your life. Your own soul can protect you. Other souls, including angels, saints, spiritual guides, enlightened teachers, and the Divine, can protect your life. They can help you prevent sickness, change a serious accident into a minor one, or help you avoid an accident completely.

* Souls can reward you as well as give you warnings. If the soul is happy with what you are doing, the soul can bless your journey. If the soul does not like what you are doing, it can make your life difficult. It could block your relationships or even make you sick.

* Your soul can predict your life. If you can communicate with your soul, your soul can tell you what is in store for you.

* Souls follow spiritual laws and principles. Your mind may not be aware of this, but your soul absolutely follows spiritual laws.

* Your soul is eternal.

* Many souls yearn to be enlightened. They want to offer good service in the form of love, care, compassion, sincerity, generosity, and kindness. That is why more and more people are searching for soul secrets, wisdom, knowledge, and practices. You are reading this article now. You may have a great desire to search more.

Work at home and make $250 an hour. You can make up to $2500 a day. Try this…..the lazy man’s way to riches. Make $70,000 in the next seven weeks. Sit back and watch the money pour in. Cha Ching. Your computer can be an ATM machine. Anyone and everyone can do this.

Does any of this sound familiar? Unless you have spent the last year on another planet, you have probably seen several of these statements. They are everywhere. Try checking your email accounts and chances are one of these ads will pop up in the side bar. Surf the web and you will see a banner promoting the next magical road to freedom. Gosh, they are now showing up on our television.

Okay, you say, let’s try one and just see if I can make a gad zillion dollars before the weekend.

I pick the work at home offer that appeals to me. This is something I am really interested in and the money seems great. But wait, I now have to answer questions, some even go so far as insisting I create a password. Enough of wasting my time, just send me the money!

Finally I get past all the ho-hum stuff. At last, the part where I will get the money. But wait. Horrors! Now I am told I have to “do” something. These people really expect me to work?

This is where people give up. Oh, they may try for a day or two, then throw in the towel. They can justify their decision. “The work is too hard. I don’t have time. It’s not at all what I thought. I am just too tired.”

Now these same people are experts at work at home. They know it does not work.

But, work at home does “work” if the person behind it “works”.

Please don’t be discouraged by bad publicity. If you are truly looking to take control of your future and work from home, you can do it. If you are willing to sacrifice the time it takes and never quit, you will succeed.

It is not easy. Sometimes it can be very frustrating.

You do have to work. If it was so easy, then everyone would be doing it. It takes a dedicated person willing to work.

How do we know all this is true? Because we work at home!

We have been assisting people in finding legitimate work from home opportunities for over three years.

Remember in college, those droning professors that put your class to sleep? Then there were the rare few who challenged you, kept you interested, excited, and enthusiastic about subjects that you might not even have wanted to know about. Similarly, a press release should never be a boring, sleep inducing, yawner that puts the media and other audiences to snoring. If your dog is napping, wake up and smell the puppy chow.

Present your business to the media and your target audiences online, offline, borderline and over the line, with a funny heartfelt message that is newsworthy and reap the beneficial results.

Consider:

How can you communicate about your business in 400 words or less?

After reading what you wrote, would you hit the snooze alarm?

Is your story something others will wag their tongues about?

Business owners can tell their story to the media, so that journalists wake up and pay attention, and customers run do not walk to their website to buy their products and/or services.

How about this Pup-Lick Relations tip from my dog Cici. “Consider telling your business tale with animal media spokespersons or animal stories.

“Know why Geico has a Gecko in their TV commercials? What about Tony the Tiger, Morris the cat, Taco Bell’s Chihuahua or Smokey the Bear. During the Super Bowl, the average price for a 30-second spot was $2.5 million. In these ads, many companies portrayed furry animals to convey their message.

“Dogs, cats and even fake, stuffed and animated animals can enhance how you tell the world who you are and what you represent. Why? One reason is that people love animals. And so do the media. When you touch people’s hearts, funny bones and get them talking to one another about your business, (aka word of mouth), ka-ching… you’ve written the write stuff,” she concludes.

Below are 12 ideas to jump start your plan to write one press release for every month of the year. Focus upon holidays and pets. Team up and support a local animal organization for one year and include photos and videos with your news releases.

January

Write a press release about the pet rescue/shelter’s New Year’s Resolutions. Tell a heartwarming tale about a particular dog or cat or horse. Let the media know that you are donating a percentage of your profits to support these animals.

February

Write about how your company is now offering pet services. Even if you are a CPA or florist or printer, you can provide pet services. Be creative and pet owners will love to do business with your company.

March

Write a St. Patrick’s Day theme such as Green Pet Day or Green Pet Food Day. Educate, entertain and inspire.

April

Write about the Easter pet parade or event you are sponsoring. Everyone loves a heartwarming tale. Keep a tally of how many pets your business has saved, how many pit bulls were rescued, or how your generosity inspired a larger donation to your favorite pet cause.

May

Write about the fundraiser the pet charity is doing with your assistance. Winners receive a free service from your business. Promote events ahead of time for maximum coverage. Three to six months ahead of time is ideal and the local newspaper may print a few stories leading up to the event.

June

Write tips for keeping pets hydrated during the summer heat. Or safely taking a pet on vacation.

July

Write about the work of a wonderful local kennel, pet sitter, boarding facility and/or doggie daycare place.

August

Did the dogs from the organization receive swimming lessons to enjoy the Dog Days of Summer, tell the world.

September

Home sweet homes for those cats you have been sponsoring are always a good news brief.

October

Write a spooky story with photos about the pet costume party that the pet organization is putting on for the pets.

November

How have you answered HOW MANY pet’s prayers? Got recipes? Compile a Thanksgiving community cookbook or calendar with recipes for healthy pet food and treats that the pet organization can sell as a fundraiser.

December

Write about how the community’s pet gift giving has made a huge difference in these particular pet’s lives and impacted the health of the pet organization.

Voila, you now have a plan for the year. Be sure to post press releases on your website and distribute them to your media contact list and via online press distribution services such as prweb.com, prleap.com, and others.

A newborn baby immediately starts to have relationships with parents, sisters and brothers, and others. When a child goes to school, there are relationships with classmates, teachers, and others. As an adult, you have relationships with many people. As long as you are on Mother Earth, you will have all kinds of relationships.

Relationships are a very important issue for humanity. Some of the most important relationships are those with your spouse or partner, with all family members, with colleagues and coworkers, and with friends. Each one of us is deeply affected by relationships between various organizations and relationships between cities and countries. Some other extremely important personal relationships are your relationships with your physical spiritual teachers, your spiritual fathers and mothers and other spiritual guides in Heaven, and the Divine.

There are many teachings, workshops, and seminars about relationships. This book will share the secret of transforming relationships at the soul level. The one-sentence soul secret to transform relationships is:

Transform the soul of a relationship first;

then transformation of the relationship will follow.

In recent years, I have taught this wisdom to thousands of people worldwide. They have used the wisdom and techniques that I will share in this chapter to transform their relationships with heart-touching results.

Many people have come to me seeking advice and guidance because they struggle with many blockages in their relationships with their partners. Some people have difficulties with their parents. Others have difficulties with their children. Some people have difficulties with their colleagues or their bosses. People often wonder why they have these struggles. Spiritual beings and nonspiritual beings alike often think: I’m a good person. I’m very kind. Why are other people so mean to me? I’m very caring and loving to my partner. Why doesn’t he or she like me? I give so much love to my children. Why don’t they respect me?

It is very difficult to find a person who has not struggled at some time in life with a relationship. Some people struggle their whole lives with relationships. Some people can never seem to find a true love, going through one divorce or breakup after another. Some children are abused by their parents. Some parents can be abused by their children. Other people can be cheated by their business partners. Relationship problems are very common on Mother Earth.

What is the root cause of blockages in relationships? To answer all of the questions above, and more:

The true cause of blockages in relationships is karma.

I teach soul communication. I have trained and certified many advanced soul communicators. They can communicate directly with the Divine and the Akashic Records. They have offered spiritual guidance to many people with relationship challenges. They can share many stories that illustrate how blockages in relationships are related to karma. Therefore, clearing karma can make a big difference in a relationship.

If you have blockages with your spouse, your children, your colleagues, your boss, and your friends, it is not difficult to understand that there is a spiritual reason for these blockages. That spiritual reason is karma in your relationships from previous lives.

The advent of the New Media and Internet have increased possibilities of online marketing and internet retailing with new features of interactive shopping, pod casting and e-marketing. Consumers are connected to online shopping sites with WiFi, Internet or 3G mobile phones. E commerce has taken a new dimension in retailing with increasing number of people shopping online and even making flight bookings online (Papers4you.com, 2006). One such example is the traffic on the British Airways website. A comparative analysis of popular travel related websites and online ticketing facilities give us details on transaction costs, and individual and company perceptions on e commerce facilities for ticketing and travel.

Internet marketing however meets with major challenges of keeping pace with consumer demands and developing relationship marketing to maintain consumer loyalty (Enzmann and Schneider, 2005). The advantages and disadvantages of internet retailing could be studied in contrast to traditional marketing considering issues related to online branding, consumer loyalty, spam, and advertising strategies. The challenges of online marketing could be studied with the same models used for general marketing management such as 4Ps or 7Ps models and trends in internet marketing and transactions can also be studied (Papers4you.com, 2006). Online pricing remains one of the major challenges and so is the prospect of virtual interactions with customers as opposed to face to face interactions in a traditional market. Issues of security and privacy are important in e marketing and shopping through secured sites is one of the major concerns of consumers (Enzmann and Schneider, 2005). Direct email marketing of goods and services has led to debates on spam and the need for strict legislation on email marketing.

Online marketing seems to have completely revolutionized marketing techniques although it has limitations on usage, privacy issues and security. The different traditional and non traditional advertising media such as newspapers, television, magazines, newsletters, direct mail, telephone, and internet may have to be compared more thoroughly and extensively to understand whether in the future online marketing would replace traditional marketing completely.

Apart from ease and convenience of internet marketing, one major advantage of internet marketing is customization or personalization of products and services to suit the needs and tastes of individual customers (Ho, 2006). Tailored products or services may not have been a very wide option in traditional shopping which shows that interactive shopping has moved a step closer to the needs of the consumer and has improved the shopping experience in general. Online branding has made local consumer goods popular in global markets (Ibeh et al, 2005). The concept of relationship marketing is an important strategy for the new media and is an important tool within the contemporary marketing environment in all spheres of business, from financial services to electronics products. Online marketing has been used by banks and supermarkets and charities like Oxfam suggesting the rapid change in marketing methods used by a wide variety of organizations and show the wide acceptability of online retailing and marketing in changing business environments.

Man, the Microcosm; Part 5

Once the third-eye has been developed with the help of Kundalini, the Chrism oil, the secretions and magnetism of the head glands, and the brain-dews, man would be able to function in the higher worlds with full awareness. These various substances and energies are instrumental to man’s physical resurrection or etherealization. They are collected, blended, and released into the body through the third ventricle of the brain which, in one sense, represents the Holy Grail:

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” (Psalms 23:5)

Hindu yogis call the brain-dews “soma” or “amrita.” It is the nectar or ambrosia of the gods. Manuals on yoga such as the “Hatha-Yoga-Pradipika” advises students to flood the body with it. A superior body of vitality and strength is acquired by the permeation of the blood with soma. Aging is arrested and, it is believed, immortality is acquired–this is the transformation of the natural body called “adhibhautikadeha,” into the divine body “adhidaivikadeha” as termed by Hindu mystics.

“It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.” (1 Cor 15:44)

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” (I Cor 15:51-54 )

Filling the body with light-energy in the form of soma and Chrism oil is the means whereby the human is changed into the divine.Yogis believe that magickal powers are bestowed upon the individual whose physical body is transmuted into a higher form. It is thought that amrita flows profusely from the third ventricle by stimulating the palate and uvula with the tongue. This exercise is a fundamental practice among various mystical sects in India.

Symbolically speaking, the apron made of lambskin and worn by Masonic initiates during the performance of rituals is emblematic of the Chrism oil to be found in the loins. The covering of the nether regions represents the conservation of the precious energies to be found therein. In Esoteric Christianity, the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordon refers to the anointment within the cranium with the mystic waters of the Chrism oil (Jesus), and the brain-dews (Christ). Or in another sense, Jesus may represent “ching chi” and Christ to the fiery essence in the *****. This is supported by the Greek code-word IKHTHUS, which means “fish” but is also an anagram for the phrase in Greek: “Jesus Christ, god-saviour.” The fish in this context refers to the sperms in the ***** and to its odour. As a side note, it would probably interest some that one of the original symbols for Christianity was the fish and not the crucifix. The mark of the fish is to be found in many early Christian tombs and gravestones.

Sutratma, Antahkarana, & the Permanent Seed-Atoms

Sutratma or amrita nadi, is the cord that connects the principles of Man like a string of beads; the principles and sutratma are symbolically speaking, the divine rosary. The purpose of sutratma is to spiritually link the Monad with the Quarternary via the Ego. Sutratma is the conveyor of divine substances from the Ego and the Monad to the lower principles. It terminates its lower end at Sahasrara–the crown chakra, and its physical counterpart, the pineal gland. It is composed of the higher energies of the various planes where it functions. In thickness, sutratma is said to be just a few centimeter in diameter, but is believed to have once extended to the size of Man’s body in past Golden Ages when Man was more spiritually oriented. The reduction of its size was one of the consequences of Man’s disobedience to the will of God, or the violation of the laws of the Cosmos. Sushumna in the etheric body is actually the extension of sutratma. Sutratma, the spiritual umbilical cord, is woven out of other thinner cords called the mental, emotional, and physical cords. The mental and emotional cords are the products of Man’s evolution. They have their upper terminal points in the Ego. They convey mental and emotional forces to the physical body. In bygone days, only the physical cord existed. In the Atlantean period, the emotional cord was developed. In this Aryan Age, the mental cord was formed. The next phase is the development of the spiritual cord called the antahkarana.

The physical cord originates from the Monad and it was bestowed upon Man when he undertook the work of evolving Divine Self-awareness. The physical cord is the rope of life; it is the cord that conveys a certain life essence. As Man develops spiritually, the cords will gradually improve in size and quality. Mental activity strengthens the mental cord, whereas emotional harmony and balance ameliorates the nature of the emotional cord. In the Old Testament, sutratma is referred to as the silver cord:

“and man goeth to his long home, and the mourners go about the streets; or even the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.” (Ecclesiastes 12:5-7)

The verse above also refers to the fact that the silver cord is detached from the physical body during the process of transition. So long as this cord remains intact, life within the body is sustained, even should Man fall into a cataleptic state with the appearance and clinical pronouncement of death.

The Antahkarana, is the spiritual cord that at Man’s present stage of evolution, is in the process of becoming. It is called by some students of the occult “the rainbow bridge,” and is the actual pathway for the Christ substance, for the alchemical Azoth. Like the mental or emotional cord, it is created by Man’s efforts of obtaining his divinity and immortality. This cord begins in the heart chakra and is growing steadily towards the Monad–the pace of its own growth is in accord with Man’s spiritual works and aspiration–these being meditation, prayers, service to humanity, and a spiritual way of life. Each step of Man’s spiritual progress increases the extension of this spiritual cord towards the One. The Antahkarana is an independent cord but will later merge into sutratma like the other cords. When it does so, Man’s human nature would be transformed into divine godhood. We see, therefore, that there are four cords associated with Sutratma, three of which are already interwoven and merged into Sutratma.

The three cords, mental, emotional, and physical–or the “life cord” as it is usually called, function analogously, in one sense, to anchor-ropes; the anchors in this case are the Permanent Seed-Atoms.

Permanent Seed-Atoms are Man’s “Book of Life.” They record Man’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual development. In Christianity, they are refered to as the “recording angels” that note every thought, feeling and action of Man. There are three Permanent Seed-Atoms that play a role in Man’s spiritual development; these are the Mental, Emotional, and Physical Seed-Atoms. The Mental Seed-Atom is located in the pineal gland, the Emotional Seed-Atom is to be found in the apex of the liver, and the physical seed atom has its abode in the right auricle of the heart. Some schools of occultism teach of an “Etheric Seed-Atom” that has its place in the spleen.Other Seed-Atoms may gradually come into existence as Man’s spiritual development continues to progress. Permanent Seed-Atoms are composed of the substances of their respective planes. The Physical Seed-Atom, for instance, is formed out of the energies of the physical plane. Seed-Atoms in general, registers and preserves the quality, nature, frequency and blueprint of their associated principles. They conserve faculties, talents and abilities formed by the incarnating Ego. The Seed-Atoms are stored in the Causal body when Man is not incarnated in the physical plane. This is symbolised in the allegory of Noah’s Ark that preserved the seeds of animals for a new life-cycle.

Each incarnation improves the record of a Seed-Atom, and each Seed-Atom, as a blue-print, builds what is contained in its memory banks. Seed Atoms carry the vibrational nature of their associated principles. Principles are formed with the same vibrational frequencies of those Seed-Atoms. The quality and form of a manifested principle depend very much on the stored blueprint in the core of the Seed-Atom. The more perfect the blueprint or archetype, the more perfect the principle. Blueprints are improved as Man develops his mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual quality. The contents of seed atoms are the pabulum that nourishes the Ego and builds the Causal Body. St. Paul was aware of the existence of Seed-Atoms. In one of his letters to the Corinthians he declared:

“And to every seed his own body.” (I Cor 15:38)

When Man commences a cycle of incarnation, it is the Physical Seed-Atom that first descends and gives life to a spermatozoon destined to unite with an ovum. A few months later, the Emotional Seed-Atom is implanted into the growing fetus. The pregnant mother then begins to feel the movements of her growing child within her. At the time of birth, the Mental or Consciousness Seed-Atom is anchored into the head center of the infant. In the process of transition from this plane, the Mental-Seed is the first to be released. The Emotional Seed-Atom follows not long after. When the last Seed-Atom leaves the body, the silver cord snaps. The death process itself is triggered with the release of certain information from the Physical Seed-Atom. This information is conveyed to the glands where they produce the hormones necessary to assist the release of the Seed-Atoms from physical anchorage and trigger the death-process.

Seed-Atoms are programmed by the Soul to release certain pulses of information at stated times. These pulse-information manifest in Man’s psychological and physical structure as certain formations, abilities, liabilities, talents or limitations. In the Physical Seed-Atom we also find records of Man’s karma. Man’s karmic sins returns to him when the consequences of his actions are ripe for manifestation. Waves of electromagnetic energy, representing the records of karma, issue from the Seed-Atoms. These waves of energy infiltrate into the bloodstream where they stimulate the endocrine glands. These glands then secrete the appropriate balance of hormones to manifest the nature of the effect of the karmic cause, whether for good or ill. Knowledge of the Physical Seed-Atom located in the heart prompted a Hebrew sage to write about it:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” (Proverbs 4:23)

The Causal Body & Electronic Belt

Man’s good works do not pass unrecorded. They are the energies that he uses to build the “temple not made with hands,” the Causal body. In each incarnation Man is alloted a certain amount of energy; this is his capital, so to speak, which if used rightly in accord with divine laws and rules in investing and building constructive and creative projects of the Soul, he would prosper well. Energies rightly used acquire a greater value and are deposited into the Causal body, the cosmic bank. These energies are our spiritual treasures that we lay in heaven. When Man passes through transition he takes away nothing along with him accept his karmic deeds, his experiences, memories, and his newly attained stage of soul development. Each incarnation never fail to beautify and glorify the Causal body, for in each embodiment Man does perform some works of righteous, beauty, and love, no matter how far he has strayed from the path of Truth.

The Causal body, as mentioned before, is the repository for the Seed-Atoms. These seeds are stored when Man is in the state of repose, the state of pralaya of the cyclic law of Activity and Rest. This Causal body is also the vehicle for the Ego and Monadic energies of the higher mental plane. In Conte de Graal, one of the Holy Grail stories written by Chretian de Troyes in the late 12th century, portrays the Holy Grail as being carried by a virgin in a procession. Esoterically, this virgin is the Monad, the Virgin Spirit that bears the Causal body, the Holy Grail with its contents of divine nectar–the Egoic energies, spiritual seeds, and the energies related to one’s spiritual development. To drink the nectar from this chalice in this physical plane through meditation and prayer is the act of invoking additional spiritual energies, additional capital to fulfill one’s destiny on this mundane sphere. Only a person of purity may discover the Grail and be its bearer. As the Quarternary is purified of all mental, emotional, and physical impurities, the qualities of the Causal body, the holy blood, are poured into it like a celestial cornucopia pouring its abundance into the chosen one, into the knight who becomes a Grail King thereafter. As can be seen from this, the Causal body is a two-way relay station; it is a transmitter and receiver of divine energies. In the Old Testament of the Christian Bible, God spoke through Isaiah concerning the bestowal of the gifts of the Causal body in this symbolical manner:

“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness [that which is unmanifested on the physical plane] and hidden riches of secret places [spiritual dimensions], that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the god of Israel.” (Isaiah 45:3)

The quest for the Grail is the lifetime search for one’s immortal nature. Socrates, the ancient Greek sage, taught of the possibility of retrieving previous knowledge and talents of the Soul. Where former spiritual knowledge gained by the Soul of Man was concerned, he believed that it was only necessary to discuss upon cosmic truths to awaken the memory of one’s previous attainment.

The Causal body of a spiritually developed individual, manifests as concentric rings or spheres of multicolored, multidimensional fire. In the microcosm of an unevolved man, however, it is a colorless ovoid without any hint of its future glorification. St. Paul was, therefore, right when he declared that one star or Causal body differs from another in glory:

“There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.” (1 Cor 15:41)

It is the incumbent task of Man to endow his holy temple with divine lights and to decorate it with jewel ornaments, for this is indeed the New Jerusalem:

“And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.” (Rev 21:18-21)

Coloured gems of the rainbow within the Causal body, metaphorically speaking, represent various aspects of man’s spiritual development. Yellow, for instance represents the development of man’s spiritual intellect. White, on the other hand, is the color of the unfoldment of purity. Pink is the color of divine love and compassion, whereas blue is the color of the will. The Causal body also manifests colors that has no earthly counterpart.

The Electronic Belt is the antithesis of the Causal body. While the Causal body stores the righteous works of Man, the Electronic Belt stores and records his “wickedness,” the energies that he misqualifies; all of his negative karmic deeds. We all know that particles light in weight, such as those of hydrogen and helium, rises into the air. Conversely, heavy particles sink to the ground. The Electronic Belt is composed of such dense particles, and as such, they accumulate at the lower half of Man’s physical body forming a shape like a large cauldron. All of the dross of Man manifests as heavy atoms, molecules, and dense energies. Unless purified and destroyed by the burning action of the Holy Spirit which we visualize and invoke by prayers, decrees, and words of power, the Electronic Belt will continue to bind Man to mortality and prolong his stay in Samsara–the lower planes. Its dissolution will release Man to ascension’s Light.

Divination Or Prediction?

Divination has always been one of the most popular and widely practiced of all the occult arts. In a world so full of uncertainty the idea of getting some wise guidance from a higher power, the idea of peeking into the future and gaining advanced knowledge of what will happen, the idea of knowing the consequences of your actions in advance so that you can choose the right path - these are all very appealing notions indeed.

There a literally hundreds of different methods of divination, from examining the entrails of a recently slaughtered sheep or goat, to staring into the flames of a fire. Today, with divination at least as popular as it ever has been in the past, the most commonly used methods are astrology, tarot cards, palmistry and the Chinese yi ching.

But although more people than ever have access to some form of divination, such as newspaper horoscopes which are read by millions, there is also a greater degree of misunderstanding around as to the nature and purpose of divination than would have been the case in the past.

Most people tend to think of divination as fortune-telling, as a method of predicting what will happen to someone in the future. But actually this is an over-simplification, and it introduces a subtle but important error into the way we think about divination. Whether you perform reading yourself, or if you are just an interested person who maybe reads their horoscope, you should know that in order to gain the most possible benefits from consulting a divinatory device it is important to be aware of the nature of the information which you will receive.

The classical warning against the kind of misunderstanding which is prevalent today was given in the form of a story. This story is about a king or emperor (I don’t remember the details, only the general outline, but it’s that which is the important bit). There was tension with the neighbouring kingdom and the emperor consulted an oracle to help him in a decision about whether or not to declare war and invade his neighbour. The oracle told him that if he went ahead with the war her would crush a great army and lead to the collapse of the kingdom. he took this to mean that he would win a great victory and went ahead with the war, but it turned out that through his own incompetence his actions crushed his own army, and lead to the collapse of his own kingdom.

The significance of this story is that the emperor went to the oracle expecting a prediction but actually got a divination and his misunderstanding lead to his downfall. In this case t was not in the oracle’s power to predict the exact outcome of events, or describe what would happen to whom. What she did (what divination always does) was to describe the character and form that events would take. Within this pattern individual people and events are somewhat irrelevant, and cannot be accurately predicted. If you keep this in mind when using divination it will serve you well.

It is also important to remember that whilst divination describes the cosmic, spiritual influence which will come to bear, and the overall character of what you might call the physical and psychological environmental factors, human free will and the inertia of material circumstances may have something else to say. The correct attitude to divination is expressed in the medieval word from divinatory signs - ‘auspices’. You may often read in a newspaper horoscope, for example, that you will come into some money or that you will meet a new lover, or some other such thing. But what it should really be saying to be more accurate is that it is an auspicious time to do business, look for a new source of income, or play the lottery, or that now would be a good time to socialise and meet new people. By doing this they would not be trying to predict the future, an endeavour in which they would often fail, but would instead be providing advice as to how to make the most of the situation and how to be successful, happy and perhaps most importantly in harmony with the world around you, which is what divination is all about.

and astrology: http://www.morningstarportal.com/astrology.html

This may come as a surprise… but you have been lied to for a very long time. You may have been one of the most promising young thing that stepped out of your college, and have dreams of becoming successful. You had read that riches and achievement is within your grasp as soon as you set foot into the world of wages.

But if you are not happy where you are now, it simply isn’t your fault. You may have been slogging for 60 hours a week in a J.O.B., and still cannot find the money to give your family the lifestyle they deserve. Or you just want the opportunity to live life by your terms, and not answer to a boss that has only one thing on his mind, to work you harder.

In the next 5 minutes, I will share with you some solutions to your predicament.

To leap, or not to leap.

Everyone has a fear.

When you are on the verge to decide you want to earn a profit than to be paid a wage, this one fear would crop up. How can you start something you have no experience in? What if you fail? What if you run out of cash, and have mouths to feed?

Let me assure you a couple of points here first.

You can rest assured that there are plenty of businesses you can start while still working in your full time J.O.B. In fact these businesses are turn-key and only require you to put in time so see a result. I will share more with you about turn-key businesses later.

The term turn-key, means a system is in place for you, and all you have to do is to follow their proven system of success, you would eventually see a profit. Think Macdonald’s. Every franchise of Macdonald’s is run in the exact same system. In fact, according to studies, the best franchises are run by rich farmers, and the worst, academics. One of them knows to follow a system. Imagine if you decide to harvest in winter instead of summer!

You may also have a fear that the business you choose to buy into, may not be your passion and you fizzle out after a while.

Not to worry, there are so many industries to choose from nowadays in the internet age. And also, interest and passion can be developed. Many wealthy internet marketers as wealthy because their passion is in marketing, and not in the product they market! Your passion may be just to earn an income that keeps your family comfortable. That could be a strong enough driving force, don’t you think?

Let me confirm your suspicions here.

No, there are no get rich quick schemes if you want to make money ethically and fulfillingly.

In every opportunity you come across, effort equity must be paid. You either pay by time, or by cash.

Either way, you are never guaranteed of success.

You are, however, guaranteed of support and mentorship when you seek it!

Before you jump into a brand new opportunity, find a forum or mentor that you can ask questions about whether it is worth your time.

“Knowledge without action is useless, action without knowledge is foolish” - Ching-Ning Chu

Yes, there are also people who got their hands burnt in ventures they committed to.

That is why you must first find out if there is an exit strategy. If you are going to commit a huge some of money into some opportunity with little or no promise, you may want to run away from it as quickly as you can, it spells scam all over!

Always find a low start up income opportunity, then choose to invest more when you feel confident, or start seeing results. Again, beware of smooth talkers, convincing you of results. See it for yourself first.

Finally, you can look at your neighbors, and be glad you are in control of your life.

Let’s face it.

There are people out there who love to see you happy and succeed. On the other hand, there are probably more people out there who couldn’t be happier if you failed in achieving your dreams!

If you watched “The Pursuit of Happyness”, there would be a line that would absolutely strike you.

“Don’t let somebody tell you you can’t do something, not even me. People can’t do something themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it.” - Will Smith as Chris Gardner.

Hold on to your dream. Because I am sure someone would want to steal it.

But remember, success is the sweetest revenge.

————————————————————

Ultimately, it is freedom. The freedom to choose what you want to do, when you want to it, with who you want to do it with. I took a leap from a regular pay check, into a US$30k debt. Today, I wake up when I want to, and I work because want to. Oh, I forgot, and I also get to tell my friends, see, I told you so! I had no experience in business whatsoever. But the fact you are reading this now, means that I was able to market my message beyond the shores of my hometown of Singapore. Imagine if you had as much passion as me to succeed, how quickly would you start earning money from a business of your choice?

Start your search for freedom today. Starting with this article.

How Not to Write a Press Release

Several years ago, when I was working for an agency, I was fired from an account. What that means is the client didn’t want me writing for him anymore.

Another writer, a friend of mine, got the account and life went on.

Of course, I was pretty upset by the situation. I had completed several writing projects already for that client, which had seemed to go well, and had just finished a press release when I got the boot.

My writer friend told me later her “secret” for making this client happy. Basically, what she did was rewrite the press release so it focused solely on the client and the client’s business.

I said: “But what you’ve written isn’t that newsworthy. I don’t think the newspaper will accept it.”

She said: “That’s not what the client wants. Therefore, I don’t worry about it.”

And she was right. (She kept the account after all.) The client wanted an “I’m so great” press release. He didn’t want something that might actually result in coverage for him. He wanted something that would make him feel good when he read it.

In the world of public relations, press releases are the explorers. They travel far and wide, visiting media outlets everywhere, and presenting information about your products and services. Media people decide whether or not to cover your business based in large part on those hard-working press releases.

So, there’s a lot riding on them. Therefore, it pays to take a little extra time to make sure they’re outfitted correctly for the job.

When you get an idea for a press release, ask yourself this question: “Is this something someone else would be interested in or is this something only I (and maybe my mother) would want to read?”

Sounds easy, right? Well, if it was that easy, there wouldn’t be so many “Look at me — I’m so great” press releases running amuck out there.

Unfortunately, the “I’m so great” press releases are seductive. They sound so good when you read them. They whisper things like: “Of course the editors will want to write about me. I would make a wonderful human interest/special feature/business feature story. Didn’t I just see a story like this about my competitor/another business last week?”

You need to be on your guard when one of these ideas shows up. Question them. Interrogate them if you must. “Why will the media like you? What do you offer that’s different than any other press release? What’s so special about you? Why will someone want to read more about you?” Don’t allow their pretty words to influence you. You must get to the truth. Chances are what seduces you probably won’t seduce the media.

Remember, media people are looking for an angle or a story that would interest their readers. They want to know things like: “What’s in it for my readers? Why will my readers care about this piece of information?”

If you can answer those questions correctly, then you have an excellent chance of getting the coverage you’re looking for.

Creativity Exercises — Write a newsworthy press release

The only way to get better at recognizing a good press release is to practice writing them.

Start by writing what you think is a good press release. Put it away for at least 24 hours. Don’t look at it. Don’t even think about it.

After the 24 hours is up, pull it out and read it. Ask yourself this question:

“Is this something someone else would be interested in or is this something only I (and maybe my mother) would want to read?”

Really ponder the question. Don’t let yourself answer it too quickly.

Still feel like it’s newsworthy? Then try this exercise. Replace all the references to you and your product with another business and product. I recommend inserting a business that is not one of your competitors. Use the Find/Replace function on your word processing software to make this a quick and easy process.

Put your release away again. If you can wait another 24 hours, all the better. But even moving on to a different project and coming back a few hours later will help it sound “fresh” to you.

Read it again. Do you still find it interesting now that it’s about someone else?

It’s tough to view your business objectively. Fortunately, this is a skill that will get easier the more you do it.

Ever thought of earning $999 from one single sale? If you want to know more about big ticket affiliate products and how to sell them effectively then find out more in this article.

Big ticket affiliate products are very attractive and not just for the obvious reason of getting a fat commission. Let’s take a closer look.

High Commission

Yes, the most obvious one. My personal definition of a big ticket item is one that gives a commission of at least $100. So how high can they go? Frankly, the sky is the limit but you’ll find that most internet affiliate programs that have big ticket items will give commission from somewhere between $200 and $1000.

Rebuys

These commissions are just on the first sale. Most of these affiliate programs will also give you rebuys and lifetime commissions. So if your customer goes back the the site then you will collect more money for years to come. I know of at least one program where the sales are tracked for 10 years!

What Type Of Big Ticket Affiliate Programs Are There?

Most of these programs are either internet marketing products or financial markets trading products. By the way, pharmaceutical sites also pay could rebuys but each sale won’t usually make you over $100. Your typical product is not just an e-book but usually a seminar, mentoring or tuition, sometimes an advanced set of DVDs.

So now we know the value of these amazing products. How can we get a piece of the action? What you need to understand is that you might have to warm the customer up a bit more to sell to them. Here are a few ways.

Promote Them From A List

A lot of people try to promote these big ticket products from a subscriber list. This gives you more chances to try and convince the prospect to buy the product.

Promote To Proven Buyers

You don’t stand any chance of selling a $2000 seminar to a surfer looking for freebies. If you already sell a product (either your own or as an affiliate) then you could try selling to your list of proven buyers. You’ve got proof that they are willing to open their wallet and get out their credit card so these people are likely to be much more responsive.

Try And Get One To One

You have a much higher chance of selling these products if you can somehow get face to face or one to one with them. One way is to buy a list from someone else that includes phone numbers. You could even rent a plot at an expo! It might be out of your comfort zone but for $999, who cares!

Get Them To Click The Link

Although prospects will do a bit more research before buying an expensive product, all you have to do is make sure that they find the product first through your link. So you can still use traditional methods like article marketing or creating content sites and promoting these products in the normal way.

Are you ready to start earning 1000 bucks per sale? Get a huge list of big ticket affiliate products and start listening to your account go “ker-ching”! Get the list at http://www.ProfitsWithChris.com/big-ticket

There is an old saying that omission is a bigger sin than commission. We were put here to do something. We were given the Laws of Quantum Physics and the infinite ocean of thinking stuff call the Quantum Ocean or mind of God.

There is the story of the man who died and went to Heaven. He was led into a large room on the left. In the middle of the room stood a podium with a twelve inch thick leather book. When he walked up to the podium he saw that inscribed in gold letters on the cover it read, “All You Have Done!”

He was then lead to a large room on the right. There also stood a podium in the middle of the room. But it was six times thicker than the other book. Inscribed in Gold letters on the cover of this one it read, “The Things You Should Have Done!”

Why stand ye there gazing? Do something!

It is better to do something and fail, than to take no action at all and think that you have succeeded.

Do not put off tomorrow what you should do today! (Rosicrucian saying)

The ancient wisdom teachings were full of do’s and don’ts, for the ancients knew that we came to (Do) and they told what not to do (Don’t.)

Don’t leave undone what should be done. Better to perform a duty of your own than anothers. From duty there is no escape.

Now we understand with the Laws of Quantum Physics and the Quantum Ocean that we have created our present reality.

We have done things with our thoughts and actions and we must not neglect doing what must be done next, to successfully conclude what we have started out to do.

Our whole society is being choked to death on the inner planes, with all of their unfinished and undigested experiences.

They have started projects and ideas and brought them out of the Quantum Ocean as living entities. Then they failed to be bring closure to the event and it rattles inside of them causing living chaos.

We all perform and start too many things, relationships included. We do it willy nilly without any higher purpose in mind.

Perform all acts, works and duty with God in mind. “We live, move and have our being inside the mind of God.” Keep this in mind so that what you do will keep you heading in the correct direction - towards illumination!

At this point in time, and it is a critical point, because it is the end of a 2000 year cycle (end of the age of Pisces) and the beginning of another 2000 year cycle (Age of Aquarius) the guidance we need MUST come from within.

We cannot look to the government or those in authority for guidance.

The Chinese put it quite well. In the wisdom teachings of the I-Ching it says “When a society is about to fall (the Age of Pisces) the worse men for the job are pushed to the front to speed up the process.

The Age of Pisces and all that it stands for must fall. It is the dynamic process of our Solar System moving to a new location in space. We are moving to a new position around our Galactic Sun called the Age of Aquarius.

I will end part 7 with one final comment:

The Greeks have a saying,” Whom the Gods would destroy, they first drive mad.”

Look around you and don’t let it happen to you

Your Soul Standing

Where your soul sits is extremely significant for your spiritual journey. The significance is that the location of your soul represents your spiritual standing in Heaven. The higher your soul sits in your body, the higher your spiritual standing in Heaven.

A soul has to do Xiu Lian (pronounced shew li-en) in order to uplift its standing. Xiu Lian is an ancient spiritual term. “Xiu” means purification. “Lian” means practice. Xiu Lian represents the totality of the spiritual journey. It includes the cultivation and purification of your soul, heart, mind, and body. Neither you nor your soul can decide where your soul sits inside your body. This simply means that your spiritual standing is not determined by you or your soul’s desires. The Akashic Records decide where your soul sits inside your body according to your spiritual standing. The Akashic Records are in a special place in Heaven; there, all of your lives are recorded, including all of your activities, behaviors, and thoughts. They also decide your spiritual standing in Heaven based on your life records.

If you offer good service, such as love, care, compassion, kindness, generosity, and purity, the Akashic Records record this good service. If you offer unpleasant service, such as killing, stealing, harming, and taking advantage of others, the Akashic Records also record this unpleasant service. There is a book in the Akashic Records for each person’s soul. This book is dedicated to recording all of your services, good and unpleasant, in your present lifetime and all of your soul’s previous lifetimes. Your soul also carries a copy of this record. A highly developed spiritual being can read this record directly, either from the Akashic Records or from your soul. However, such spiritual beings are rare, as they must be given a spiritual order from the Divine to access this information. Not many beings in history have received this Divine Order to access the Akashic Records.

I cannot emphasize enough that where your soul sits inside your body is a vital factor for your spiritual journey. Today, many spiritual teachers talk about soul enlightenment. What exactly is soul enlightenment? The key to soul enlightenment is the soul’s standing. To be enlightened, a soul must sit in the Message Center or higher. If your soul does not sit in these layers, you cannot be considered to have an enlightened soul. This teaching about the divine standard for soul enlightenment was given to me many years ago. Every year, I have two or more Soul Healing and Enlightenment retreats. In each one, the Divine enlightens every participant. The Divine has enlightened thousands of human beings in the last few years.

I am extremely honored to be a servant of humanity and the Divine to offer divine soul enlightenment for humanity. The Divine gave me the task to offer soul enlightenment for all humanity. I am extremely humbled, honored, and blessed to offer divine soul enlightenment to humanity in my Soul Healing and Enlightenment retreats. I am simply a servant and vehicle of the Divine to offer the Divine’s enlightenment to humanity. All credit belongs to the Divine. I am extremely honored to be a servant and vehicle. I cannot thank the Divine enough for choosing me to serve humanity and all souls in this way. Thank you, Divine, from the bottom of my heart.

A Life After Life

It is said that only the truly faithful have the courage to question their faith. I hope that makes me a believer.

This is an account of a personal experience that occurred at an early age and I am writing about it primarily for those people who like me are in search of answers.

At the age of six I developed a severe bronchial illness, which caused serious breathing difficulties. I spent a great deal of time in bed and my doctor was at a loss in how to treat my condition. It was on a spring day of that year that I first encountered what we presently term as an out of body state. I felt myself drawn from my body and transported to a place that I would now describe as an informal tribunal. There were people seated before me and I was accompanied by what I can only describe as an older, more knowledgeable, version of myself. I can clearly remember the questions that were put to my other self and the argument that he presented in return. Our questioners asked whether it was wise to continue with my existence although they did not use that specific terminology. They suggested that it would be easier to start over and indicated the simplicity with which I could be entered into a new body. My other self felt strongly that there was much to learn from my present life and that it should not be so readily discarded. The tribunal gave him the benefit of the doubt but they were not convinced that his decision was for the best. I was returned to my body with a full recollection of the experience. Life went on until my condition worsened as I approached my seventh birthday at which time I was taken out of my body again.

The place that I now found myself in resembled an ancient high court and I stood in awe of the austere atmosphere. I was on my own on this occasion but, for my age, I understood what was at stake. My questioners wore formal robes and appeared to be eminent bodies with a serious but kind demeanour. They were seated on an elevated level and I remember feeling very small and nervous. The circumstances were ceremonial in comparison to the first instance and this appeared to be a point of reckoning. They offered me a final opportunity to accept that it would be expedient to relinquish this life in favour of a better one. I was left with no illusion that if I decided against then I would remain in my present form for better or worse. I was informed that my decision had to be made immediately as there was a time limit involved. After some thought I realised that I felt passionately about retaining my present life and consequently refused their offer. Following this decision I was once again returned to my body but this time I instinctively knew what had to be done to overcome my illness.

On my return I called for my mother and asked her to bring me a small family bible and an equally small icon. Both had been with the family for a many years. Although I had no religious leanings I knew that I had to place my complete faith in what these two articles represented. My belief needed to be absolute. I tucked them beneath my pillow and for the first time in a long while I slept peacefully. From that point on my health began to improve dramatically. I suffered three more attacks over the next few years but my strength grew at a pace and it was not long before my constitution became quite robust. Thankfully I remain that way to this day. I continue to experience out of body states periodically and the insight is, to say the least, enlightening.

To my daughter Gina, and in memory of my father Milan.

Which statement sums up how you define your customers?

1) I have a very specific customer in mind — very specific and very narrow. I only want to sell to this specific customer, I’m not interested in attracting anyone else.

Or

2) If they have a pulse, they’re a potential customer.

Okay, in care you were wondering, number 1 is good and number 2 isn’t.

Yet I can’t tell you how many business owners I run into who are closer to number 2 than number 1.

I know, it’s difficult to think you might be turning away potential business. But trust me, your life will be much easier once you’ve carefully defined your potential customer (also known as your target market). And to further convince you, here are 3 reasons.

1. You’ll be able to find your target market more easily. If you know exactly who you’re looking for, you’ll have a much easier time tracking down where they’re hanging out (i.e. publications they read, Web sites they visit, radio stations they listen to). Then you’ll know exactly where you should be spending your advertising dollars and/or which editors you should be courting for potential PR stories. Best yet, you’ll probably be spending less money/time and yielding far better results.

2. You’ll be able to persuade your target market more easily. If you know exactly who you’re talking to, and what their challenges and problems are, you’ll be able to craft far more targeted marketing materials. You can use language and images they respond to (which will make them feel like you understand them) plus you’ll be able provide a specific solution to their challenges.

You can’t do this if you’re trying to please “everyone.” “Everyone” is a tricky fellow. He’s tough to pin down. After all, “everyone” buys a product for different reasons. Take cell phones, for instance.

Senior citizens, teenagers and parents buy cell phones, but they buy the, for different reasons. Teenagers buy them so they can chat with their friends all the time. Parents buy them for their teens in order to keep track of them (the teens, not the cell phones). My 90-year-old grandfather bought one for emergency use only. Each one of those reasons is a different benefit. The ad that appeals to parents knowing where their teenagers are is certainly NOT going to work for teenagers, and neither of those ads will be terribly persuasive to my grandfather.

So if you’re trying to sell to “everyone” just imagine how complicated it’s going to be to try and cover all those different reasons in a single marketing piece. Not really possible, is it?

3. You’ll have an easier time with your business. If you’re busy running around providing different products or services to different customers, chances are you’re not as efficient as you could be. This is especially true for business owners who are service providers. If you’re constantly learning new skills for each client who walks in the door, how efficient will you be? Wouldn’t it be better to stick with what you’re good at and just sell that?

Creativity Exercise — Discover your target market

Here’s an exercise you can try if you’re still unsure of your target market or if you want to make sure you aren’t missing any potential customers.

Get a sheet of paper. Write down all the features of your product. Features are descriptions of your product. Take cell phones, for example. Features of cell phones are they’re small and wireless.

Now change those features to benefits. For a cell phone, you can carry it anywhere and use it anywhere (anywhere there’s a signal, that is.)

Now make a list of who needs those benefits. Think broadly here. Maybe parents or people in certain industries or people with certain jobs. Try to come up with at least 50 markets. Be silly. That’s when you’re most likely to hear your muse (or genius) speaking to you.

Another technique is to ask your subconscious for help. Do a meditation where you ask your subconscious to show you someone from your target market. Ask questions and see what the answers are.

Once you come up with your list, then it’s time to critique and judge. Try and narrow it to no more than five target markets. One or two are better yet. The more target markets, the harder it gets. You can always start with one, and once you’ve made yourself known in that market, you can move to a second and a third and so on.

How to Make Money Writing eBooks

There is no doubt about. The world is changing. Days of library dues are far behind us and have been replaced with the fast paced information highway on the internet. This is good news for you. As an expert you can quickly establish yourself as an authority on your chosen topic and for very little money by writing an eBook.

So what is an eBook? It’s an electronic book that you download instantly after making the purchase. No more waiting for your books to come in the mail from Amazon. This is good news for the buyer, who doesn’t want to have to wait for their book and fantastic news for you, who doesn’t want to wait for your money.

“But I’m not a writer…” Okay, two points to make here. First, you don’t need to be Charles Dickens to write an eBook. EBooks, while just as informative, have a less formal writing style than bound books you would see in the book store. You’re probably not giving yourself enough credit. If you feel like you are an expert on the matter then writing about it will come more naturally than you think.

Second, if you don’t want to write it you can hire someone to do it for you. There are various websites on the internet that are swarming with freelance writers that would be more than happy to do it. The great news is it won’t cost you nearly what you think. You could get your book ghost written for anywhere from $300 to $1000, depending on length and content. Just remember the old adage that you get what you pay for before you hire someone though.

EBooks have exploded on the internet as the preferred means of people getting their information. This is both good and bad news. Good news is there are people out there that will buy your book. Bad news is there is a lot of competition so you want to make sure you have your marketing strategy in place before you launch your big book release. Yes, even online it’s called a book release and you’re going to have one. (I know, it sounds so exciting.)

The great thing about an eBook is that you aren’t going to spend tons of money getting yourself set up to only receive royalties from your book. You get to keep the entire profit so you should have plenty of money to put into some well researched ad words. Browsing books on the internet is not the same as browsing in the bookstore. Your buyers aren’t going to see your book next to one of your competitors in the “X Topic” section. On the internet, if they don’t know you exist, most likely they won’t accidentally stumble upon you. So remember, marketing means visibility. Visibility means cha-ching!

Blogging Part 8 – Monetizing Your Blog

You have been working hard to produce good-quality, original content on your blog and you have attracted a decent amount of traffic by doing so. However, money is not going to appear out of thin air just because you have traffic. You have to turn your traffic into money.

There are several ways to generate profits from the visitors of your blog, and Google’s Adsense programme allows you to do so with ultimate ease. First, visit their website at http://adsense.google.com/. You’ll find out more about their advertising programme there, but here are some extra bits I’d like to tell you.

First, Google’s Adsense programme is a really useful way to monetize your blog because when users finish reading your newest post, chances are they want to leave your blog because they have nothing else to do on your blog. If your Adsense advertisement block is visible on your blog, they might see advertisements relevant to them and click on them to exit your blog. Ka-ching! You’ve just cashed in on your first virtual cents!

But yes, your profits will only be cents if you don’t “do it right”. This involves placing your Google ads in the right places and ensuring they blend in to your site so that they appear more like links rather than advertisements to your visitors. Consult the page https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/static.py?page=tips.html to see the “heat map” of your blog. The “hotter” a certain area, the greater the chances of someone looking at your blog.

Once you get a Google Adsense account, you can change the colour of your advertisement text and links. You will want them to match the colours on your blog. If your blog’s text is black and the links are red, do the same for the ad blocks too! It’s that simple.

Another way to earn profits from your blog is to recommend products to your readers. When your visitors buy from the merchants you recommend, you get to keep a little commission too. This is known as affiliate marketing and it is very easy to start because you don’t have to create your own products or services.

Anyway, let’s refer back to our technological gadgets blog example. Let’s say you discover this Gadget X on a merchant’s website, and they offer an affilliate programme. What you would do is to create a post in your blog and do a mini-review on this Gadget X. Rip it apart and point out its benefits and bad points, if any, and include a link (which is given by the merchant) for the visitor to purchase the Gadget X online.

If your visitor clicks and purchases the gadget, the merchant will track from the link that the purchase is referred by you, so they will send you your share of the profits. Imagine if 1 out of every 100 visitors you get purchases this product, and you earn $27.00 commission from each purchase! If you get 10,000 visitors in a month that would be a $2,700.00 paycheque for you just for writing about ONE product.

Now, affiliate programmes are very nice ways to generate profit, but how do you find affiliate programmes that are related to your blog’s theme? Easy, just go to Google and search for +”affiliate programmes”. Another slightly better way is to go to http://www.associateprograms.com/search to look for affiliate programmes in your niche.

The two ways mentioned above are basic ways to generate profits from your blog. We’ll be discussing other great, profitable ways, so keep your eyes peeled!

Everyone’s talking nowadays about niche markets for Google Adsense but where can you get the content for your website? Problem solved, visit http://www.scienceofbreath.be/freetool.html  for a totally FREE tool that ***** in content from every corner of the internet! Need a reliable web host to host all those adsense websites? Visit http://www.scienceofbreath.be/webhost.html for a reliable web host.

Pagan Religions Taught In Public Schools

In classrooms throughout the country, Judeo-Christian beliefs are often cast aside or ridiculed. Multiculturalism studies, environmental propaganda, and Save-the-Earth classes now indoctrinate children with New-Age religious beliefs, often without parents’ knowledge. Public schools sometimes try to sneak offensive pagan or new-age religions into their curriculum without parents’ knowledge under the guise of multiculturalism studies.

In January, 2003, a group of parents sued a Sacramento Unified School District because certain teachers at their local elementary school were aggressively, and secretly, teaching anthroposophy, a religion that combines traditional Western religion with astrology and New Age religion. Pacific Justice Institute lawyers representing the parents indicated that many other public schools in California are now adding New Age and Eastern religions, including Islam, to their curricula.

Below is only a small sample of the flood of “spiritual” sessions taking place in classrooms throughout the country (examples are from Berit Kjos’s book, “Brave New Schools”):

1. Altered states of consciousness: Teaching students to alter their consciousness through centering exercises, guided imagery, and visualizations has become standard practice in self-esteem, multicultural, and arts programs. They often encourage contact with spirit guides.

2. Dreams and visions: After studying a pagan myth, students are often asked to imagine or visualize a dream or vision, then describe it in a journal or lesson assignment.

3. Astrology: Countless teachers across the country require students to document their daily horoscopes. Others help students discover their powers and personalities through Aztec calendars and Chinese.

4. Other forms of divination: Through palmistry, I Ching, tarot cards and horoscopes, students learn to experience other cultures and tap into secret sources of wisdom. Students in Texas were told to create a vision in their minds and “describe in your best soothsayer tones the details of your vision.”

5. Spiritism: While pagan myths and crafts show students how to contact ancestral, nature, and other spirits, classroom rituals actually invoke their presence. California third-graders had to alter their consciousness through guided imagery, invoke or “see” their personal animal spirits, write about their experience . . . and create their own magical medicine shields to represent their spirit helper.

6. Magic, spells, and sorcery: Many parents consider magic and spell-casting too bizarre and alien to pose a threat, yet gullible students from coast to coast are learning the ancient formulas and occult techniques.

Parents, is this what you want your children taught in public schools, the same public schools that are now forbidden from teaching kids the Ten Commandments?

You need information overload.

Every day in every market there are dozens of pieces of information generated on the web. You need to keep yourself abreast of what’s happening in your target market. This will allow you to instantly respond to new information as well as have seemingly innovative ideas about that information.

Think about it this way:

Let’s say your target market is people who use iPods—you sell iPod accessories. If you stay on top of your market you can be the first place they hear about the latest new gadget or the next announcement from Apple, etc.

And if they hear about it first from you, you become the place they ALWAYS go to for news and info about iPods.

Cha-Ching.

But unless you have a brother-in-law at Apple, how can you be one of the first to get and write about the news?

Simple: Google will tell you.

Google has this cool thing called “Google Alerts” where you give Google a list of keyword phrases and topics you are interested in, and Google tells you via email whenever a piece of info about the topic enters their database.

And Google is always the first to know.

(Well, that’s not always true. My Aunt Carla was the first to hear when Kendra and I were going to have our first baby, but she happened to be at the house when the Doctor called. I was second, then my parents, then her parents and THEN we called Google.)

How do you set up Google Alerts for your keywords and topics? Here’s how:

First, get yourself a Gmail account. If you don’t have one, try asking the next person who emails you from a Gmail account to “invite” you. They probably will. (Unless they really don’t like you, then they might not.)

Then, once you have your handy-dandy Gmail account, go to Google.com

In the upper right hand corner you should see a link that says “Sign In”.

Now that you are logged in, click on the “My Account” link.

Then click on the “Google Alerts” link.

Type in the keyword, keyword phrase or topic you want to stay informed about, choose the type of alert you want to have and how often you wish to be notified, then hit “Create Alert”.

Repeat this process for as many terms as you would like to be notified about.

I have about 100 terms in my “hot list” I use for writing, so I have a filter set up on my Gmail account to archive them until I am ready for them. Then I just type “Google Alert” into the search box and they are all nicely displayed for me.

Then I’m ready to write.

Poetry in Weddings: Let me Count the Ways

Since most weddings are romantic and poetic, poetry has been attending them for more than two millenniums. Epithalamiums, first wedding poems of the western world, were sung by Greek and Roman poets outside the happy couple’s room. During the fourteenth century the poems became more sophisticated and this change eventually led to the writing of wedding poetry by well-known poets like Donne, Jonson, Herrick, and Edmund Spenser.

Spenser wrote his famous “Epithalamion” to his young bride Elizabeth Boyle for his own wedding ceremony. “Epithalamion” starts with:

“YE learned sisters which haue oftentimes

beene to me ayding, others to adorne:”

430 lines later the poem ends with:

“Ye would not stay your dew time to expect,

But promist both to recompens,

Be vnto her a goodly ornament,

The Irish, also, blessed a marriage with ale and this blessing.

“May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you;

May you see your children’s children.

May you be poor in misfortune,

Rich in blessings,

May you know nothing but happiness

From this day forward.

May the road rise to meet you

May the wind be always at your back

May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home

And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,

May blue be the skies above you,

May pure be the joys that surround you,

May true be the hearts that love you.

During the eleventh and twelfth centuries, Spanish Jews wrote some notable poems on matrimonial themes, and in Italy, during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, Jews and Christians offered to the couple wedding poems–sacred, romantic, or in riddles–commemorating the occasion. These poems–some one hundred lines long–were often commissioned by the rich to the famous poets of the day to be luxuriously illustrated and handwritten in calligraphy on parchment. The wedding riddles were given to the guests several days before the wedding to give people time to solve the riddles.

In old China, most of the wedding rituals were performed with a lot of writing exchange between the two families. Also, quoting from the I Ching during the marriage ceremony was customary.

” When two people are at one

in their inmost hearts,

they shatter even the strength of iron or bronze.

And when two people understand each other

in their inmost hearts,

their words are sweet and strong,

like the fragrance of orchids.”

In India, wedding poems are not only written by the couple to each other but also by the people surrounding the couple who bless them and tell them the importance of marriage in their own words. As part of the entertainment, old wedding poems are also sung the couple’s friends and family to the accompaniment of sitars and other Indian musical instruments.

In most Christian weddings, this piece from the Bible from the Corinthians 13:4-8, which can be considered a prose-poem, is read.

“Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”

In Catholic weddings, sometimes people read their poetic thoughts or sign a wedding scrapbook adding their lines of poetry.

In view of the history of wedding poetry, if wooing, pleasing, and luring your partner to eat out of your hand is your aim, why not compose a poem for your wedding day? After all, a poem is communication in its most attractive finery and it shows that you are paying special attention to that special person; therefore, the most meaningful wedding gift you can give to your partner can be a poem of your own creation with your individual tone of intimacy.

The Summoning of Power

There are esoteric techniques in existence that can harness sources of power and strength in times of need. These techniques are largely unexploited but when used properly will provide the practitioner with raw potential energy that can be sensed but rarely seen. We are all affected, without even realising it, by invisible forces that surround us and continually pass through this Earth. In point of fact our sun emits light across a series of different wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, some of which can be seen by insects such as the bumble bee but not by the human eye. The following methods are but two examples of the ways that one can tune in to these forces.

Method 1

In the first method you should use a darkened room, preferably during the evening and with the curtains drawn. Stand with your feet comfortably apart so that you are well balanced with a low centre of gravity. Take a full rounded breath to fill your lungs and inflate your solar plexus completely and then exhale at your normal pace until you are relaxed. Hold your hands out at waist height and with the palms facing each other, approximately 8 inches apart. You may need to close your eyes in order to intuit the energy that is gathering in the space between your palms. You will initially feel a slight resistance as if you are holding a magnet in each hand with like poles towards each other. The magnets would naturally repel and this is one of the sensations that you will experience. As you stand in the darkness let your eyes move to the approximate region of your hands. Do not stare directly at your hands but instead glance in that general direction and you should begin to see a misty blue light which has been described, quite accurately, as the colour of cigarette smoke when sunlight passes through it. This is often referred to as the ‘etheric‘ and it is most probably the electrical energy that gives us our spark of life. Focus on increasing the etheric essence until you can discern a tangible glowing sphere in your palms. Run your hands around it and feel the spherical mass that they are circling. You can draw energy from outside yourself in order to achieve this condition.

When you are ready, absorb the energy from this orb into your body. One way to do this is by raising your hands to the level of your solar plexus and pressing the orb gradually against this area until you experience a new level of vibrancy entering you. Allow this vitality to fill your whole body, from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head and a sense of well being will manifest itself. Learning to see the etheric will have its own benefits as the exercise tends to promote clearer vision. Most of all you will become aware of the power that is at your disposal and that can be summoned when you are feeling particularly run down and need to re-energize.

Method 2

There are instances when people experience psychic discomfort although they may not recognize the source of their disquiet. This may occur when they are on the verge of sleep or when they are alone at night. Whatever the case the following exercise will serve to protect the person from negative influences that are present in their surroundings. If, for example, you are lying awake in bed and your mind is in turmoil for any reason, you can use the etheric energy to shield you from uneasiness. Withdraw inside your mind and visualise the bright blue energy of the etheric. Use it to draw a circle around your bed just as if you were a magician creating a protective pentacle but without the star. The clearer your visualisation and the brighter the colour that you attribute to the etheric circle, the more potent the effect that you can expect. While you are surrounded by this circle you are also closed off from harmful vibrations.

One charismatic individual that was known to employ practices such as these was a man by the name of George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff. The respected author Colin Wilson wrote a fascinating book about him called ‘The War Against Sleep’ (published by The Aquarian Press Limited). Although this book does not go into Gurdjieff’s methods it does thoroughly discuss the mans life and work. For those of you who are searching for a path to enlightenment this is excellent reading.

Psychic Intuition And Natural Instincts

Instincts, we all have them even the animals in the animal kingdom, psychic intuition on the other hand or gut feeling some of us like to use is reserved for us humans. Imagine this for a moment that, you are out having a nature walk in the forest, and in the distance you hear roars that is loud and it stops you in your tracks, you instinctively know in that moment that is danger near by and thought process that is built in your DNA kicks in for you to either look at a place to climb or slowly without drawing the attention of the roars quietly but hurriedly walk away from that uncertain situation.

This instinct to preserve life is the result of evolution for our kind. As we have chosen to live in the big cities we are unfamiliar of the way the nature works, but if we were to travel to visit our Amazonian friends they would react different to the same situation or the Indian friend who are very familiar with living in the nature near lions. And if we further study different living systems of humans we will realize that American Indian tribes have even learned to live side by side with wild wolves. As wolves are territorial animals they usually stand their ground and protect their territories, but their instinct of natives of America are well respected I guess, as these natives were highly spiritual in nature also their psychic intuitions were high on the ladder of understanding of the nature that they lived in.

There are countless documentaries on animal kingdom from the tropics to icy places like the Antarctica, human kind has and is still studying animals and their instincts. But this subject (animal and instinct) is very wide to cover here, so we can say that our instincts are a defense mechanism, warnings and signals to our nervous system that triggers call to action, to safe guard our lively hood. It’s our conscious and unconscious mind at work to protect our physical mental emotional psychic.

Psychic intuition on the other hand is somewhat different when it comes to instincts; it is about protecting, understanding ourselves to rather thrive in life. We can consciously come up with meanings about intuition through the flow of information of experiences of our lives and the subconscious knowledge that governs our lives on different levels. This scared and psychic intuition has always been with us to guide us to our true state which is to feel, strong joyous emotions, to complete us to a degree to say; I am - I exist.

You might have heard, a caring mother saying to the child, always follow your gut feeling your intuition, do what’s right, mothers instinctively know to protect and guide their children, this is always the case as far as mothers are concerned. Because with or without knowing that, when a person follows its pure gut feeling its psychic intuition we will come to know that the actions followed by this humanly gift will always result in joyous results for all mankind. And unfortunately the dark sides of humans come from not following this psychic gift, it creates wars, it creates unhappiness all the bad things stem from not following this pure gift. Many of us caught in the stream of life forget to pay attention to our psychic intuition powers that reside within us. We tend to look for it when we are faced with dilemma; I believe it can be cultivated to come out in our day to lives.

Your gut feeling at work is your soul trying to communicate to you, chat to you silently and instinctively, when this happens you know to take notice to re valuate to figure out the meaning of this strong feeling, the meanings of these feelings can be better understood, through communicating inwards using all one knows about relaxing, getting to know your spirit, through meditation, thus allowing yourself to follow your psychic intuition

I finished walking my first marathon in San Diego a week ago. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. But, it was also an amazing accomplishment.

One thing that struck me while hoofing it toward the finish line was the similarities between running a business and running a marathon (or in my case, walking a marathon). I’ll cover 5 altogether — 2 this week and 3 next.

1. It’s all about the mind. There was a quote posted around 18, 19 miles that said “I run marathons because after mile 20, it’s all about your mind.” Or something like that. (My cognitive skills were fading at that point.)

Basically, what that means is after you’ve walked 20 miles, there’s nothing left. You’re exhausted, your leg muscles are a tangled mass of pain and all you want to do is cry because you STILL have over 6 miles to go. Those are probably the longest 6 miles of your life.

So what keeps you going? Sheer willpower and determination.

You WILL cross that finish line. No matter what. So you keep going. Despite the pain and exhaustion.

This is the same way successful people feel about their businesses. They WILL be a success. No matter what. No matter that they’re feeling frustrated and depressed right now. No matter that they’ve just experienced a huge failure. They still get up and keep going.

And, because of that determination, they do become a success.

But actually it’s more than determination. They WANT to succeed. That’s really what it comes down to.

Think of it this way. When you’ve hit that 20-mile mark, 90 percent of your body is telling you to stop. Basically every cell in your body below your neck is saying: “Fuel is depleted, energy reserves are dangerously low, serious damage in the hull. We need to stop the madness so we can regroup and repair.”

Only 10 percent of your body is saying: “Naw, we need to keep going.” So for that 10 percent to keep the 90 percent from screaming “mutiny,” that 10 percent has to REALLY want to finish.

And that’s the way it is for your business. You have to REALLY want to succeed. Because it’s too hard if you don’t. You’re going to experience set backs and failures and naysayers and everything else. And unless you really want to succeed, you won’t be able to overcome all of that.

However, if being a huge business success isn’t want you want, that’s OKAY. There’s no shame in not wanting something enough to keep going when 90 percent of your body tells you to stop. Maybe it isn’t the right time, or it’s not your passion or whatever. It’s okay to decide you don’t want something enough to go after it single-mindedly.

But, if you DO decide you don’t want it that much, then don’t be surprised when you don’t cross the finish line.

2. Attitude counts. I admit it. I was in a grumpy mood near the end. I was not at all prepared for the amount of physical pain I’d be in, and was not a happy camper.

Compare that to the people around me who were clapping their hands, saying things like “I feel fabulous” and “I’m so excited to be doing this.” (And I don’t even want to talk about the people who saw the finish line and ran across it.)

I have no doubt they had just as many aches and pains (if not more) as I did, but they kept right on smiling through it all.

Sure, we both finished. But they probably found it a lot less of a struggle than I did, not to mention enjoying themselves a heck of a lot more. (And they may have completed it in less time.)

Stay tuned for next time for the next 3 tips.

I have been reading, lately, about life coaches. I see some people have degrees and are certified to teach. I see many ‘psychics’ claiming to be life coaches and can help people achieve their true potential. So, I began thinking (yes, I do on occasion) what would a life coach actually do to help others. Why would people actually pay another person to do what their instincts are saying in the first place. Is it using the buddy system to achieve goals? Perhaps it is just having another person available to listen to their problems. In any case, why would people, especially in this economy, have to pay another person when they already have all the answers within.

So, here is a free, albeit condensed, guide for achieving goals. My son has a much nicer way of expressing things - I get right to the point.

Lesson number one - stop blaming others for your wrong decisions. All this does is trying to put the blame on someone else and not accepting the responsibility of your actions. Once you realize this, you will be able to see what you did wrong, and not make the same mistake again. Remember - for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. When you insist on controlling a situation, you always make things worse. Learn from your, and others, mistakes.

Lesson number two - In this day and age, with our economy tanking, many people will be out of a job and have problems finding work. If you are lucky enough to still have a job, cut down to the bare minimums. Become a scrooge and only spend money on necessities. Save as much as you possibly can for what is to come. I am not being negative, but being a realist. Take lunch to work instead of eating out. Women do not need false nails, let the real ones grow out. If you smoke, add up how much you spend on cigarettes per month. It will be a good incentive to quit.

Lesson number three - Start liking yourself. If there are things about yourself that do not fit the television commercials ideal person, well - no one is perfect. There are certain things about yourself you can change, if you honestly have the desire. Make a list of what you would like to change about yourself and put the list aside. Now write down the following - “I am as good as anyone else in this world. If someone does not like me, it is their problem, not mine.” Say this to yourself five, six times a day. Within less than a month, you will start believing it, and other people will notice the new confidence you exude. After this, go back to the list you made about changes you want to achieve. Start with the easiest one and stop procrastinating. Once you change the first thing, you will have the will and desire to change the second.

Lesson number four - tolerance … just because someone is different than you are, or believes differently than you do, does not mean you are right and that person is wrong. As The Tao Te Ching says - do not judge others by yours standards, lest they judge you by theirs. To achieve true serenity you must understand everyone is equal in the Universe. One persons religion is not better than another’s. If you are stuck in the dogma of a religion you will never achieve true spirituality. When you do, and find your whole attitude has changed, your goals will take on a new dimension. You will disregard the ones you thought were important, and finally find true inner peace.

That is it for now - anyone interested can e-mail me and get the next steps.

Confession time. I have a nasty addiction. Since the age of eight I’ve chewed my fingernails. And cuticles. Often the surrounding flesh as well. An ugly mess. I’ve tried to quit a number of times over the last thirty-years, each attempt ending in failure. Until now. I’ve kicked the nasty habit. And here’s the best part–the technique I employed is revolutionizing my approach to achieving other goals I’d like to accomplish as well.

The key, I discovered, is to goad my goals. What do I mean? Briefly, the single biggest reason I failed to keep my resolutions and/or achieve my desired outcomes is that the cost of not fulfilling my goals wasn’t high enough. It’s the simple pain vs. pleasure programming we’re all hard-wired with. I’ll explain more in a moment, but first a story to illustrate the point.

Many years ago, General Tarek, an experienced warrior renowned for his courage and bravery, led his men to overtake an island held by the enemy. As soon as Tarek’s troops landed on shore they were ready for battle, but to ensure victory, the wise general issued an order to burn the boats they had just used. The troops were perplexed and asked why he had torched their only means of escape. To which General Tarek responded, “We cannot return to our homes because we have burnt our boats. We shall now either defeat the enemy and win or die a coward’s death by drowning in the sea.” With victory as their only option, the troops defeated their enemy.

It is possible to instill a similar burning desire for victory in our own lives. Here’s how–up the stakes on your goals. Provide both positive and negative reinforcement. In Tarek’s case, the positive was victory, the negative–death. In my case, there was no death pact but I did up the stakes. I took an old mason jar and put twenty bucks in it. Over dinner I explained to my family that if I didn’t bite my nails for the whole month, the twenty dollars was mine to do with it what I wanted (positive reinforcement) but if at any time, one of them caught me biting my nails, the twenty bucks was theirs at month’s end. Each subsequent transgression of my goal would add an additional twenty. To up the stakes even more, I suggested that they didn’t even need to catch me in the act. At the end of the day, they could merely ask me if I bit my nails that day. If I did, it was cha-ching for them.

I’m not sure what a shrink would say about someone who needs a threat of punishment in order to be successful. Nevertheless, it works for me because it hits me where it hurts ($) and ultimately I derive more pleasure from the accomplishment of what I really want, then from the pain of shelling out money. Since the first experiment was such a success, I decided to apply this to other goals. Each month I fill the jar with my personal goals for the month. At the end of the month, each unfulfilled goal represents twenty dollars that I have to pay my family to do with as they please.

A couple of notes and a tip–for this system of goal achievement to be truly successful it is imperative that you are honest with yourself and those you employ to check on your progress. Integrity is crucial. If you cheat or lie, the whole system collapses along with what you really want–the achievement of your goals. So the first vow you need to make is to yourself. No matter how painful it might be to pay out if you fail, you must make that commitment to yourself. Secondly, choose your goals carefully. Start small and build yourself up. Success breeds more success. Be sure to select goals that are within your reach. Finally, here’s a tip for those of you who do not have someone to keep you accountable at the end of the month or for those who wish to up the stakes even further. Choose an organization with values/ideals/mission diametrically opposed to your own. For example if you’re a Democratic, think Republican. As painful as it is (it needs to be), write a check to that organization for twenty bucks (or a sufficiently painful amount) and place it in an addressed envelope. Put the envelope in the mason jar. At the end of the month if you have not achieved your goal–seal, stamp and mail the envelope with your donation. Ouch! How’s that for burning the boats? Suddenly the pain of achieving your goal sounds a lot more pleasurable then sending the enemy lunch money, doesn’t it? Here’s to you never having to shell out a single cent!

The Road to Spirituality - Part Two

In part one, I wrote about anger and how it affects our perception of events. I also briefly mentioned control. The two of them, anger and control, go hand in hand. One rarely finds one without the other.

Most people feel they have the right answers and if others would only listen to them. This is not necessarily the case. To give up anger is to also give up trying to control situations.

The two main reasons people get angry are - either someone does something they did not want to happen, or someone does not do something they wanted the other person to do. They were not in control.

I sincerely doubt if many people can say - because I am in control I am happy and at peace. That is because something seems to be missing from their lives. To try to control situations is basically pride. Pride, one of the seven deadly sins, makes people think, or believe, they are better or smarter or more attractive than others are.

Pride - It is identified as a desire to be more important or attractive to others, failing to give credit due to others, or excessive love of self over love of God. Let’s break this down for a minute - to be more important or attractive to others. People make themselves important by controlling things. This makes them feel like a leader instead of a follower. Next says - failing to give credit where credit is due to others. Controlling people not only do not give credit to others, but they also dismiss other peoples’ accomplishments as insignificant. Finally the definition says - excessive love for self over love of God. Controlling people feel they can ‘handle’ things better than God can. After all - their way is the right way, and if things get messed up or the situation becomes worse, then other people are at fault.

People who try to control things tend to exacerbate situations. Then they say - how could God let this happen. God did not let it happen - their meddling created the problems and made them worse. The Tao (paraphrased) says - In a storm, the tree that stands tall and straight and fights against the wind will *****. The tree that is subtle and bends with the wind will survive the storm. When people rail against a situation they cannot control, things tend to get worse. If they let it go, the situation will reach its natural end.

The other day, I was waiting in line at the gas station. As the car in front of me pulled out and I was ready to drive forward to the available pump, another car accelerated and backed into it first. I called the driver a jerk and waited on line again. The other driver began screaming obscenities at me for at least 20 minutes. I ignored him. I could have become angry and the situation would have gotten out of control, but I chose not to and let all his anger and negative energy bypass me. It does not matter if he thought he was in control of the situation or he was just screaming his frustrations for people to hear.

I felt sorry for this individual whose life was so unhappy he had to vent in such a negative way. He eventually left, and I continued on my way. I do not know what his problem was. Because I did not respond to it, or allow myself to get angry, I was more in control of the situation than he was. To give up control is to have control (again - the Tao Te Ching) I, like the subtle tree, bent with the situation and it reached its natural end.

Another example of control happened when someone I know was changing the oil in his car. A friend of his stopped by and was helping him. Instead of moving the jack over a little so the oil could drip into the pan, the friend was holding the pan for the oil to drip in to. The other person berated his friend for almost 10 minutes on how dumb he was not to move the jack. Instead of being appreciative his friend was helping, or suggesting it might be easier if the jack was moved, he chose to have negative control over his friend. This was pride at work - he had to show he was smarter than his friend was.

To truly find the path to spirituality, one must recognize when pride and control are part of the situation. By eliminating both, our perception of things becomes a lot clearer and is not jaded by emotions. Then our lives no longer have sharp peaks and valleys but become much smoother and inner peace can finally be reached.

An Insight Into Prediction

We often turn to divination when we are troubled and yearn to know the outcome of a given situation. At these times some of us choose to read our horoscopes in the daily newspapers and hope for the best while others take it more seriously and use divinatory techniques such as the Tarot or the I-Ching. It is important to realize that these latter methods, potentially, provide us with a direct connection to our subconscious.

This presents its own challenges however. The primary rule when forming this link is to first achieve a clear state of mind. Clarity can be difficult to bring about when you feel under pressure or confused so take the time to relax and to narrow down your question. If your inquiry is clear and concise then your answer will reflect this. You will notice the significance that it has for you and will recognize it as being relevant to your circumstances.

Ambiguity is a common mistake that is made when casting any oracle i.e. Will I or wont I? Should I or shouldn’t I? For the best results you should either request advice about your current situation or ask about the outcome if you take a particular course of action. Alternatively be precise when you phrase your query and firm in the knowledge that you truly know what you want. Be aware that promising conditions in your life can be spoilt by overconfidence. Conversely, difficult circumstances can be turned around for the better if the correct course of action is taken at the right time.

The following are some examples that you might take into account when contemplating your question.

What aspect of my life should I pay particular attention to this year?

Please advise me about my future direction regarding my career.

What will be the outcome if I decide to…?

How should I proceed with respect to my personal life?

What action do I need to take to improve my situation?

These are just a few suggestions that will hopefully aid you in achieving your desired result.

You will also need to consider your immediate environment when working with a predictive technique. Every questioner should have his or her inner-sanctum. By this I mean a quiet room to work in. Avoid noise or possible interruptions as you will have to focus your thoughts in a calm manner. Try to keep the room simple so that it has minimal distractions that might otherwise catch your attention at the wrong time. Remember that the answer to your question could be the catalyst that changes your life for the better. Your preparations are therefore worth the effort. Avoid all stimulants such as alcohol, tobacco, drugs or even coffee prior to making your request. These will prevent you from reaching the balanced state that you require in order to reach inside yourself. Once you have received your answer please dwell on it for a while. If it makes no sense whatsoever then perhaps you should leave it and ask again when you are in a better frame of mind.

Finally, and I speak from personal experience, if you persist in asking the same question over and over you will receive a rebuke from whatever system you are working with. This reproach can take the most unusual form but you will know it if you get one. Be respectful.

Good Luck.
